Anyone know any good gunsmiths in North Shore/Metro North area? I know there are some good ones further south (1776, Santurri, etc) but would like to avoid the drive if someone of similar competency is local.

I think he CAN do rifle work but he might be too busy now. This is from his Facebook page:

At this time I will only be accepting 1911 work and M&P action jobs . If you have recently received a quote for any other pistol work please contact me so it can be scheduled. Thanks for your understanding and continued support.

Could always shoot him a PM here on NES or through email. He's really good at responding through emails.

Don & Co at 1776 is SO worth the drive. I'm up by Nashua and they've got a customer for life in me.

+1 for Northeast Arms in Peabody,

That's the type of stuff I've had done there. Barrel threading is $100 I believe (they offer it now), pin and welding brakes is $40. Sometimes they'll do some work while you wait.

These guys are great, give them a try, you won't regret it. Plus they have a nice selection of AR parts in case you need any.
