Wife & I did our annual TTD @ Palmer last weekend. First time for us running in the clockwise direction. I think it has a better flow in that direction, in spite of all the late apexes.

I'm really liking the 2018 Triumph Tiger 800. Any Tiger riders on here?

Better loose than too tight. So long as it’s not toooo loose.

Nope. Haven't been there yet. We like Palmer and NYST. Too bad he doesn't run at NJMP any longer. That place rocks.

My favorite track. There’s been a lot of drama with track day orgs down there, as one org took over a lot of dates - then didn’t pay the track. But there are dates out to October to run. Long thread on gixxer.com about it.

I'm not in the market, but if I wanted a daily rider with UJM styling and ride position, that was still capable of hauling ass, I'd go for the XSR700. The 900 is a bit more sporty.

If you had to choose between a WR250R and a DRZ400S, both used, comparable mileage and close in price which would you go with? For the foreseeable future mostly street riding with some trail stuff when I can squeeze it in

WR+1. Wonderful bike, easily keeps up on the highway but very capable on trails. This one is very typical: hand guards, radiator guard, skid plate, billet luggage rack.

I only had a short ride on a WR250R, and loved it. Happy on the street (didn't try highway), made me feel like I knew what I was doing off pavement (short answer - I don't, really). Fuel injection didn't complain even when I was lugging the crap out of the engine because I was shifting like it was my V-Strom. Felt comfortable, too - for a 6 foot 250 pound guy with overly long arms and legs. ToddDubya has one - his was the one I got to ride.

Haven't ridden a WR but have heard good things.

Years ago I thought I might want the DRZ400 supermoto that came out. Until I rode one. Engine felt so anemic that I never considered the bike again.

I've been wanting a supermoto. Was thinking a DRZ400sm with a big bore kit but who knows what'll happen

I'm on a Ducati Diavel 1260S which is marketed as a "cruiser" but is not.

It's a lemon though and Ducati has offered to buy it back. Deciding if I should get another or if I should get the Multistrada Pikes Peak instead.

Cool that they're building a version that @minininjer can straddle with both feet on the ground.

If you have someone who will buy a Diavel, sell it.

You need to expand on that lol

The Multi and Diavel share the same engine,so I need something more to stress out on along with the $2000 Desmo service every 15k miles.
