NM State Police Officer Killed by AR-15 Toting Drug Dealer ... Dashcam Vid Released

But isn't the law there so officers can see inside a vehicle so stuff like this doesn't happen? Obviously this guy was very prepared with it ready to go at his side etc.
if there wasn't a tint law he wouldn't have pulled him over, if he wasn't pulled over it wouldn't have mattered if he had a loaded firearm next to him.

In this one case yes. But think of the countless other times an officer was able to react because they could see inside the vehicle.

Not true in this case, read the whole thread, he wasnt really pulling him over for tint, he was a known drug dealer on his way to make a deal he was working with DHS agents or something. Most cops wont stop someone just for tint unless there is something fishy about the vehicle or there is another traffic infraction to go with it. One of our vehicles has 20% heat reflective tint all the way around and it looks very dark because the car is metallic silver with a black interior, never even gotten a dirty look.

And moments like this should be shown to every rioter and BLM supporter when they complain about officers accidentally taking the life of a violently resisting felon. From an officers perspective, any warrant summoned or traffic stop could be their last.

Slippery slope logic.... no window tints because it allows for safety... in .1% of traffic stops

When if you live in an area where the sun is brutal like nm or fl tints are valued parts of life that keep you cool and serve an actual purpose.

By your logic... if the suspect didn't have an AR the cop would've lived...

No red dot sights because it's easy to aquire a sight picture

No pistol grip or heat shield...

Like everything else punish the idiot responsible not the device used.

And stop stupid traffic violations all of them.

Unless a car is driving dangerously don't stop it. If there is a warrant follow until you can confirm there's a reasonable chance it's who your looking for.

that sucks.

reminds me of the guy who pulled the M1 carbine on a trooper and executed him after the firefight. All on dash cam
