I took up bow hunting last year with no luck. I've been out scouting, checking cameras, practicing with my bow, got my archery tags and am ready to go.
I'm up north where the terrain is tough and the trees are thick but I found some promising locations in the National Forest.

I used to hunt archery in NH early season, killed my first couple deer with the recurve back in the 80’s there.

Started hunting CT and never looked back because it was cheaper, more tags and lots of deer and the same start date.

Still love Sept 15th. NH or CT bring it on.

It's gonna be near 90 the next 3 days. Archery opens in. . . . . 25 days. Damn. I can't wrap my mind around that.

Good luck to all'y'all.

Not hunting NH, but this will be my first season hunting deer, and will be starting with a bow (MA). I’m pumped to say the least. I’ve been shooting as much as possible for the past few months, and also collecting gear. I’ll going with a saddle and sticks, and have a handful of pieces of public land to try. Good luck and share some pics!
