Those running concord just upped the ante and posted a 3rd anti-gun bill hearing for 2/13.
We now have the following anti-gun bills that will be heard on that day.

HB 101, Authorizes local school boards to ban guns (This will create local criminal safe Schools and further endanger our children) public hearing in Education committee on Feb. 13
OPPOSE

HB 109, Bans private sales of guns between friends and family and neighbors, public hearing in criminal justice committee on Feb. 13
OPPOSE

HB 514 Creates up to 9 day waiting period between purchase and delivery of a firearm or ammunition public hearing in criminal justice committee on Feb. 13
OPPOSE

Who plans to show up?

I found one more.

HB 564, Creates gun free (criminal safe schools) with misdemeanor jail time penalties, public hearing in Education committee on Feb. 13

OPPOSE

mAss sucks. ;)

Yes

No Anti-gun democrats do

No it's not just anti-gun democrats it's the lefty liberals who want to make a Free America in to a socialist government like North Korea so there is only 2 classes the elite and the dependent on the government.

Remember the only way to control the people is to disarm them first then tax the shit out of them to keep them oppressed.

HB109. . . . Hey, do I know you? Nope. Good, you wanna buy this gun???
Not that simple. In NH for private sales you need to meet one of these conditions:
  • FFL transfer
  • Buyer is "personally known to you"
  • Buyer has P&R
This would remove the second condition, so the sale would either need to go to an FFL or the buyer would need to have a P&R. You'll read lots of people here saying "Constitutional Carry, I'm not going to get a P&R" - they'd now be unable to do a private sale until they get one. It's already illegal to sell to someone you don't know if they don't have a P&R and you don't go through an FFL. "Personally known" isn't really defined as far as I know.

I had to get a P&R for my MA non-res. I considered this a "bonus" that I could do a private sale from anyone. It's really easy to acquire (mine took two days and $10) but it's still another "loophole" being closed.

I am planning on being there...when does this start and where? I know at least another person that will be there.

HB 101 should be interesting as I am running unopposed for school board in my town. I figured if I can't beat them, I'll join them. I need to find out what goes on in these double secret "no public allowed" meetings.

I won't make any friends when and if the vote comes up at the school board meeting. I will vote it down emphatically.

So far it appears that the only group in NH that has actually posted anything about any of the 5? bills coming up is NHFC

Everyone else appears to be asleep at the wheel, particularly the NRA affiliate.
You don't need the NRA, you got GOA, ain't they helping you out...

Its clear that the NRA isnt doing jack shit so why would they expect anyone from NH to give them money when neither the ILA or their NH Affiliate club have anything posted about the 4 gun bills this coming wed or the red flag bill on 3/5?

Nothing from GONH since 1/3

Nothing whatsoever from ILA when you sort on NH

ILA hasnt posted anything about NH since early 2018

NRA-ILA | Legal & Legislation

I've seen myself that there is nothing from the NRA/ILA concerning this and I am going to contact them tonight and ask them why. Their response, or lack thereof, will determine if I renew my membership in a week. They really need to get off their corporate arses and start helping our states that are in trouble.

Furthermore, is GONH even viable any longer? I've seen nothing from them since forever.

In looking at the three NH gun orgs the only one I can find any listing/discussion of the 5 pending bills for is NHFC

I suppose its possible that GONH and WDL have sent out internal emails to their members but I would think that someone here on the forum would have said so.....because there's no mention on their websites

I am an NRA member and I don't think I've seen anything concerning NH anti-gun bills in their email postings and mailings in the past six months.

I am a member of NHFC. It seems to be the only NH organization that stays on top of these things and disseminates this info in a timely manner. Some people I talk to think they are too far to the right...I don't agree at all with those folks. It seems that as I talk to them, I realize most of them are fudds.

Thats simple.

Do not miss how HB109 defines a Commercial sale.
“Commercial sale” means a sale, transfer, or exchange of a firearm that takes place at, or on the curtilage of, a firearm or "gun" show or pursuant to an offer to sell, buy, transfer, or exchange a firearm that took place at a gun show, or pursuant to an advertisement, posting, listing, or display.

So listing your gun in ANY classified, or posting about it anywhere, makes it a commercial sale. And that means using an FFL. List your gun here on NES = Commercial Sale. The only way for it to not be a commercial sale is to walk up to someone and ask "hey, want to buy a gun?"

Thats simple.
Not sure I follow; his post implied that you could effectively get around the "personally known" statement by saying "I don't actually know you" which isn't valid. If you're selling a handgun, such as transaction would require an FFL or P&R, as it does today.

Is that not how you guys sell your guns? It works wonders for me in Portsmouth!!!

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, February 13, 2019 – Four anti-gun bills will have public hearings. Ask your employer for the day off NOW and plan to attend. We need YOU in Concord. Please keep reading for all the details…

In my last update I provided some details about HB 109, sell (or give) a gun to a friend and go to jail and HB 514 which will force you to wait up to 11 days (7 business days, holidays and weekends excepted) before bringing home a new gun or ammunition. HB 109 will probably end firearms training in New Hampshire because if an instructor lends a student a gun it will be considered a “transfer” and must be processed by a licensed dealer. But if HB 109 doesn’t end training, HB 564 will because instructors will not be able to supply ammunition to students for immediate use; they will be forced to wait up to 11 days before receiving their ammunition.

One of the worst parts of HB 514 is found in Section II: “A licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector shall make available records of firearm and ammunition sales for inspection by any state, county, or municipal law enforcement agency, during normal business hours.“

Thanks for the update. I was planning to take the afternoon off from work, now it looks like the day. The left is running amok.

Sounds like they are trying to make the Northeast a “gun free zone”. I think we are dealing with a much bigger conspiracy than we realize.
