Info pertinent to attending a hearing in Concord

Hearings are held in one of two places.
1. Capitol Building
2. "LOB" or Legislative Office Building directly behind the Capitol on North State Street

There is a tunnel that connects the two buildings that you can use/access in the basement of each building.....its a lot easier to use this than to walk outside and discover that the back doors to the Capitol are locked forcing you to walk around the front of the building....unless its a nice day.....

Parking:
Parking sucks in Concord.....its a dem controlled city.....nuff said....
Most "meters" take credit cards....the closer you are to the capitol, the more expensive it is and the shorter the duration you can park
Details on parking and garages for Concord below.

Here's a map of Concord.....most direct access for most people is from 93 via Loudon Rd Exit....iirc its #9

Beware that the streets between North State and North Main where the Capitol and LOB are are all ONE WAY.........be careful not to flatten any of the oblivious peds while looking for a space to park

I personally recommend that the School St Garage be avoided at all costs........its always full and is nothing more than an exercise in frustration during the day on a weekday......ymmv

Dress......cleaner is always better and makes a better impression.......testifying in your favorite "Infowars" tshirt isnt recommended.....but its your choice.

Wait till you see the list of stupid shit they've already for being too stupid/pointless......lets start with an attempt to repeal article 2A, multiple AWB/Mag bills, basically a list of tyranny of every flavor........

Withdrawn LSR's added to OP
Well, I hope we're running radio ads featuring their proposals and cartoon sounds:
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvl_IGwyCmU

then reminding people these creatures are, in fact, elected officials and their proposals are FOR REAL, and could actually become law if they don't get their asses in gear.

This will be a narrative that we hear a lot this year

According to FBI UCR for 2018 we had 21 murders in a population of 1.356,000 people for a homicide rate of 1.5/100k

If the UL info holds to be true and there were 32 murders in 2019 for a population of 1,386,718 (as of July1) for a homicide rate of ~2.3/100k assuming my math is correct.

By my count there are two noteworthy bills being heard this week

Tues and Wed are the days we need people at hearings over......

SB574 relative to a petition for protective order filed on behalf of a child. Hearing is scheduled for 02/11/2020 at 10:15 AM SH Room 100

HB1608 prohibiting the manufacture, sale, transfer, and possession of large capacity ammunition feeding devices., Hearing is scheduled for 02/12/2020 01:30 pm LOB 204

Unless you want NH to adopt the same BS mag restrictions as Vt you need to show up on Wed

If you're a glutton or punishment or need a refresher on just how badly the dems and some reps are violating their oaths of office to the NH constitution feel free to attend some of the exec sessions and other bills scheduled for hearings.....there are actually some good/productive/pro liberty bills out there.

On Tues we have:

SB523 relative to This bill requires that no device or instrument, nor the results or data produced by the same, shall be admissible as evidence in any court proceeding unless its accuracy and reliability is verifiable through a complete and independent scientific analysis or peer review.

SB732 This bill prohibits the sharing of location data by a mobile application developer, telecommunications carrier, or other person.

On Wed we have this one restricting state monitoring of people in public

Another bill related to privacy

Exec session for HB1285 relative to possession of firearms on school property.

Exec session for HB1509.....go to college and lose your guns....relative to emergency threat protection orders for individuals at post secondary educational institu.

Personally I question the efficacy of having a "Protest" at the capitol on a day that none of the politicians being PROTESTED are present.......
I can see your point, but a public display by a woman's pro gun group is good for the cause. So even if the timing isn't perfect, and when is it ever perfect, it's better than not doing it.

It's not for the politicians. It's for the public, and publicity.
The issue is the sponsors are relying on the press [fabulously pro-gun...[sarcasm]] to send out the message. The best day for a rally is a Thursday when the members are in session. We should plan one on a Thursday with enough time for people to take off of work!

Its worse than whether or not the timing is perfect or not.......it might make the attendees "feel good" but it doesnt accomplish anything/move the ball forward.

The media NEVER reports actual numbers.....they ALWAYS under report IF they report at all.......and IF the turnout is poor then you can be sure that they will report that a poorly attending "Gun Rally" fizzled on a sat in Concord......

If you do it as Design said when they're in session then at a bare minimum you can go and track down your reps/sens and the gov and remind them of your positions on the issues and that they're being watched......

I know that, and I agree. But every time there's an event on a weekday, someone always pipes up with, "But why don't they do it when I don't have to be at work?!?!"

I can't go to the WDL event, because I have to be at work on Saturdays. I gave up my weekends when I got elected, so I can work my day job Friday-Monday, and do Concord stuff Tuesday-Thursday.
