Newtown parent heckled... Sad.

It was very well edited to suit their needs just like the george Zimmerman 911 call edit. This edit was more slanting. No one heckled him he a insulted the crowd and then asked a direct question to the crowd which he got an answer. Media spin machine is on superduty spin cycle

Correct. Someone died. That's really sad. It happens, it's a part of life. It is particularly horrid that it was at such a young age and due to violence.

That's a lot different from putting the lives of millions at risk because of fear of guns. One person vs. millions. What he's implying is dangerous, and will get people killed. What he did was deserving of the mild correction he received.

No one life is worth more than millions.

You missunderstood my comment. I meant that the words of a grieving parent are a very different issue from our issue.
Let me perfectly clear. I will give up my guns to no man, woman, or multiple combination thereof.
In the words of John Bernard Books "I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them".

I'm a little disappointed - not surprised, mind you, but disappointed - I have yet to hear a peep from the Waterbury paper. Especially since they, like all print publications, are hemorrhaging subscribers.

While I can't begin to understand what he and the other families of those who have lost someone have been through, I don't see any heckling such a claim is over the top

I saw a guy ask a room full of people a question, and some people are shocked that it was answered!

plain and simple.

The Marxist-Socialist News Broadcasting Company forging "evidence" to keep up the narrative? Unpossible.

Them I expect it from. But the Waterbury Republican-freaking-American ?? Whose guy was supposedly there??

Excerpt:
Some opponents of more gun control shouted out and heckled when Heslin challenged anyone in the room to explain why they need military-style weapons and high-capacity magazines.

Speaking as someone who was there, i.e. firsthand experience I can verify this man was not heckled. As stated above, he asked what we believed to be a rhetorical question. People were silent until he turned to the pan and suggested the polite silence was his answer. That's when guys spoke up. Guess what, the media didn't just misrepresent, they flat out lied. Again, I was there. Most disturbing was that through the day people on both sides of the argument treated each other with respect. I had many polite and civil interactions with "the other side". I had a woman wearing a League Of Women Voters stickers approach me while I ate alone in the cafe. She asked if would mind if she asked my views. I of course agreed. She listened and didn't judge. I asked hers and for the first waking hours since 14-Dec I didn't feel under siege. Neither of us conceded anything, nor did we think we would find common ground over a sandwich. We only sought to be truly heard. I can't tell you how mad it makes me that our politicians and media fuels this hate when real people, equally passionate can sit down and have a civil conversation.

I've seen an awful lot of people who are willing to listen. But I have to say that I think a good part of the reason why that is happening is because gun owners have been so vociferous in defending their rights this time - and they are making their views plain by putting money behind where their mouths are - and buying up everything in sight.

When people hear that very expensive weaponry is disappearing off the shelves all over the country - I think the average person thinks something is up - and they also think "SERIOUS".

The truth is that an AR-15 - especially at the current prices - is a very serious purchase for a lot of people. Most people will argue back and forth with their wives for months before being able to spend that much money on a flat screen TV, so I think the average person thinks "not pocket money" when they hear about the buying spree.

And once people realize how serious this is - they are more willing to come to the table instead of just trying to jam their views down your throat. I also think that there have been an awful lot of very good - and very convincing arguments made from "our" side - and I also think that the facts are with US - and not THEM.

But a lot of people are sort of stuck on the other side - and looking for a way out. We need to give it to them - and not back down.

How so?

Guns were specifically called out in the bill of rights for a reason.

The death of one parent's kid is a tragedy. What's the deaths of a million parent's kids then - a statistic - like Stalin said?

The truth of the matter is that yes - some parent's kids may die if we have a society that allows firearm ownership by civilians. The alternative is a society that is completely dis-armed - and you MIGHT end up with less deaths. That is exactly what the anti's think. On the other hand - you might end up with a genocide somewhere down the road - and get MILLIONS of parents whose kids are now dead.

So which is worse? One parent losing his kid - because he lives in a society where people can access firearms - and a CRIMINAL and PSYCHOPATH got hold of one and killed his kid - or living in a society where crime is rampant (like it is in Britain right now - and they are about as disarmed as you can get) - - or where there is a massive genocide and millions upon millions of people die.

See here's the truth about genocide - genocide happens when you get disparate cultures or belief systems living side by side - that hate each other. Sooner or later one group of people get dominance - they take away the less dominant groups ability to defend themselves - AND THEN THEY KILL THEM ALL OFF.

It's a time proven way of getting rid of your problems. It's been practiced very effectively down thru history.

The other uncomfortable fact is that the United States probably has all of the perfect indicators for having a genocide. We've got this "multicultural " BS that has been promoted by the left for decades now - and the reality is - many of these people REALLY don't like each other.

If the SHTF time comes - you are going to see that a lot more clearly.

And if one group gets dominance - they are likely to figure out that just killing off all the members of the other group - is the best and "final" solution.

If you think that could not happen here - you're just ignorant of human behavior and human history.

I generally tell people that have a hard time grasping this to take a look at a prison yard.

He was not heckled. You have fallen prey to the Obama Media Engine. Please listen to the ENTIRE clip before you make this statement.

This +1. IMHO he was not heckled. Question was asked, question was answered. More of the biased media making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Newtown parents urge enforcement of gun laws - Yahoo! News

Say what you will, but they should have let the man finish. You do have to put your self in his shoes for a min.

I am gonna put this as delicatly as possible. I did not kill your child so do not look at me as though taking my rifles that where in my safe when you child was killed is going to salve anything. I did not kill your son so do not punish me for it. In fact if all of my firearms where taken away the day before your son was killed, he would still be in a casket because I, nor my rifles harmed anyone. And thanks for pointing out that you apreciate our rights and opinions but basically don't give a shit about us and just want to feel better about yourself by doing something that will do nothing.

I saw the whole video and he asked a question of the audience, he then turned around and looked at everyone for an answer, when he then turned back and said something to the effect of "no one can answer my questions?" he then looked again and that is when the crowd answered him. MSNBC put out an edited video that seems to show the crowd interrupting him but that was definitely not the case. haven't we learned yet, that all is not at it seems when the media is involved?

Oh no! The MSM would never edit tape to suit their agenda! [rolleyes]

I have now seen the entire vid I regret my opening statement when i started this thread..
I was duped.
will not happen again...
Thanks.

Sadly, 99% of the people MSN fooled will never realize it.

It's like the first reports of the Trayvon Martin shooting, when the Media trotted out pictures of Trayvon when he was twelve - a sweet-faced little boy.

I myself was shocked that anyone could have shot him.

But in a few hours I saw the truth - not a sweet little kid - but a 6-foot plus Football Player, violent and vicious.

Yet even today most people only know Trayvon as a child.

Most people still think Zimmerman is a racist, because they heard the 911 tape where he says "He looks suspicious, I think he's black" despite the fact that NBCs editing of that 911 call has been known for months.

I bet even Hitler has some cute Baby Pics of him in a tub with his rubber duckie.

"How could that sweet boy ever hurt anyone ?"

"We're all entitled to our own opinions and I respect their opinions and their thoughts," Heslin said. "But I wish they'd respect mine and give it a little bit of thought."

Well, I did give it some thought, for about three seconds and I realized that his loss is no greater than the millions of lives that have been lost in pursuit of liberty.

If this emotinal, reactionary bullshit doesn't cease, there will be countless more lives lost in the process between those trying to squelch other's liberty and those who will not stand for one more inch of infringment. Its only a matter of time before this entire situation explodes into a full blown shooting war.

You mark my words all you twenty and thirty sometings, you'll be fighting a war in your own backyard before you perish from this earth.

I believe us 50- 60 somethings will be fighting the war in our backyards, never mind the 20-30 somethings, and before we hit 60-70!

End of Argument!
