New York: Pre-Ban Ar-15 and lowers?

With the new assault weapons ban passing in NY senate, how does this affect pre-ban ARs and lowers, if any? Are they grandfathered in and allowed to keep their "evil" features?

I believe so but they are no longer transferable and must be registered with the police... Can only be transferred to a dealer or out of state...

If the serial number can be confirmed as being Pre-Ban, and there is a year to register the weapon...
