New York Locks Up Woman For Declaring Pistol In Checked Baggage

hell, we get 1 or 2 stories like this posted a year. I don't know how to avoid this short of changing the law, and it would be pretty naïve to think that's going to happen any time soon in ny.

Reciprocity would be nice, but if that doesn't happen, at least FOPA should be extended to airports.

Remember that happened to a nursing student, and Mayor Bloomberg chimed in that she was carrying cocaine (it was aspirin).

An expert said she likely had no idea she was breaking the law when she brought her handgun, legal in Colorado, to the state of New York.
Ignorance of the stupid law will never be accepted as an excuse.

And we don't national reciprocity because?........ The NY liberals are probably salivating like Pavlovian dogs at the thought of tossing her into a jail.
