I just bought a sig p239 last week. I brought it home cleaned and lubed to Sigs specs. I went to the range the other day and shot 50 FMJ. Only firing 50 rounds this barrel really marked up quick. Especially on the bottom corner of the chamber. Here is some links so you can see what I am talking about. The mark is smooth and shiny. Is this normal? Should I be concerned. My M&P's barrel never looked like this and it had alot more rounds through it. Thanks in advance.

You might want to get better photos and post this on the SigForum, but I'd say that finish wear is more or less normal.

Looks mostly cosmetic to me.

If the gun shoots fine, I'd say the hell with it. Sig barrels wear in a number of interesting ways, and this is probably just another manifestation of that.

All of my Sigs have some sort of marks on the barrel. If you notice gouges then there might be something amiss.

This is a function of tolerances. Sigs have rigorous tolerances and tack driving fittings. The tolerances that produce those wear marks - you'll also get them around the top of the barrel near the muzzle - are what let you take a dozen sigs of the same model, swap the parts randomly, and not be able to notice any change in accuracy or reliability.
