Hi all,

I started learning to shoot a rifle precisely about 18 months ago. In that time I've had two of the model 10 Savages. One I sold and the other I still have.
I was able to adjust the Accutrigger on both down to a bit under 2 lbs. (these are range guns. No defensive or hunting use)

I recently acquired a 700 with the adjustable trigger. I have not been able to get it down below 3.9 lbs. Its been fired about 20 times and dry fired about 500 times. So it should have smoothed out by now.

By the way, I am sure that I turned the adjustment screw in the correct direction (out) because when it was run in the other direction (in) the trigger weight went up to over 5.5 lbs.

All trigger weights given are real actual MEASURED weights based on a Lyman digital gauge.

If its normal to get it down to under 3 lbs, I'll send it back in for the recall.

If the lowest I'll get it is where I'm at now, I wont bother and will just put a Timney or Jewell trigger on it depending on what kind of a deal I can get on the Jewell.

Don
