Well, I've been in some despair lately. I've been 'suffering' with my 229 for carry, as I'm a smaller guy, and it's just too big / bulky.

Not sure of what I wanted, I loaded my pockets, and headed to FS (a 110 mile drive for me). After that dill-weed in Attleboro pulled his little stunt, I deided only the deserving get my money.

Sig 239? SW 340PD? Maybe even a Baby-Glock? Bottom line, I need something new.

I'de just sold my Walther P22, I feel bad for whatever sucker bought it. But, if you're as foolish like me and buy one without researching them, you'll just appreciate your next firearm purchase even more.

So, I handle a few SW 342PD's (38's). Nice. Also handle the 340, which is 357. Look at the sigs. There's a nice 239. Oh and the rimfires. Oh look at all those mass-compliant rugers!

Lemme see that one with the fluted barrell. Yea. That one.

OOHHHH loook. Nice HiVis factory sight! Pre-tapped! Feels like a dream in my hand. No. take it back... I'm here for a carry gun.

Ohh look. Sigs. Yummy. 239. Yummy. Round-interchangable with my 229. NIIIICE. Why doesnt Sig make a sub-compact full-caliber firearm?

I'll take it. Here's my fingerprint, here's my LTC. Here's my cash. Nope, I have enough ammo... . Oh Hi carl, I fowarded you that email from that nitwit in attleboro, nice to meet you in person. WHY am I stuck in traffic? Oh, 'cause I have a new peice.

Well, here it is!

Yup. I couldnt resist. I know. I wanted a new carry gun. But, it's going to be getting cooler sooner, and it'll be easier to cary the 229 for a few more months. I needed a cheaper $/trigger pull. I was spending a lot of money on ammo for my 229 when it was just to shoot, not to practice stopping drills. So. Yes. I have a new beautiful rimfire.

The target in the 4th pic was the very first 10 rounds through the gun, at 15 feet. Nothing for a accurate gun like this, but just goes to show what it can do. At 50 ft, I was able to shot 4 mags w/out leaving the black. Not bad for a hacker like me!

It's a KMKIII678H, AKA Mark III Hunter
.22lr, 6-7/8" fluted barrell, stainless, HiVis front, adjustable rear, Cocobolo grips, and pre-tapped for included weaver base for a scope. God it's beautiful, don't ya think?

You actually spent your money on a gun that you could shoot more often? A pistol that is cheaper to feed and that will allow you to develop a high level of proficiency? No new Spec ops death ray? What were you thinking? Flawless logic and a nice looking gun to boot. You did real good. As far as concealing your 229, you come up to Fargo about the end of November and we will show you how to conceal that Brown Bess that great-great grandpa bequeathed you. :D

Not sure of what I wanted, I loaded my pockets, and headed to FS (a 110 mile drive for me).

Is that 110 miles one-way or round-trip? FS is just over 100 miles one way for me. How did the 342s look? I have one and have often thought about picking up another for a back-up.

BTW, nice lookin' Ruger you got!

Both of the 342's appeared to be in 90% or better, in my opinoin.

Then again, I thought my P22 was about 90%, and the guy who took it on consignment in RI thought it was brand new / unfired. After 6000 rounds :D

Anywyas, its about 110 each way, I live on the RI / MA border....
