Our local NBC affiliate said he was fired.
He was certainly incompetent, from what I've seen.
Yes, he was overworked and had insuffucient funding, but he's made some mistakes that are clearly unexcusable.
Why can't they substantiate rumours of rape and murder in the Convention Center? Probably because there wasn't any officers there, or the ones there weren't doing their jobs. I doubt the latter, and think there just wasn't any officers there. Only would've needed one or two.
