Ever shoot ppc? We have 8 matches a year and allow civilians as of this year.

Nope I actually haven't shot in any matches at all.. I do hope to do some IDPA this year, but schedules and all make it tough.

Yeah I hear the time issue. Well do it before you are too old. A friend of mine wanted to shoot competitively for years and never got around to it because of his kids, now he is in his late fifties and is kicking himself for not doing it earlier, because he is having a hard time seeing, his eyes are getting old. Just try for one day a month, don't watch the game on TV, practice or shoot a match instead. You will be happy that you did.
