New Hampshire - gun control bills

then change your state and the likelihood of the whole country going to shit goes away or are you conceding defeat in MA?

Not everyone can just pack up and move. I'm sure you know this. I'd love to move to a free state, but some of us have many things that make it much more difficult to move (family, jobs, finances, etc).

If NH didn't swing to Obama twice and elect anti-gun Jeanne Shaheen I would be that confident.

You forgot that the current Governor, Ol' Horseteeth Hassan, is a flaming Moonbat as well. This state is starting to look like the League Of Nations. It's a f**king mess, and not the place I grew up in.

I didn't say move, if you want to change you need to start from the ground up, get on your local school board, town council etc... have a say in what your kids are taught as well as other kids it is what the left did to change us from conservatives to socialist

I love how douchey NH people can get when all some of us are saying is "hey guys, lookout!". I can't speak for all the MA people, but I will make the assumption that, none of us think that NH is going to become MA tomorrow, but it does happens incrementally. The dems got their way with banning carry at the statehouse in NH. On its face, many would say "meh, no biggy" but that's how they do it. They're patient and if you give them a foot in the door they'll kick it in.

In all this we should stand together, whether or not you agree with the personal choices that people make to stay in state you and others deem to be "lost", we should support one another due to the like mindedness we share towards freedom. When I see what is going on in California, I don't tell them "run! you commie **** get out!" rather I think "shit, that sucks what can I do to help?". Again, no one thinks NH is the new MA, all we are saying is lookout, don't give them a chance. I've seen it posted here many times, people leave MA because they don't want to put up a fight for whatever reason, and thats fine, but unless you put your foot down at some point, you're gonna get ****ed.

Neils first postings in here were the right attitude, shockingly [wink], "I'll find out who my reps are and call them tomorrow". Perfect, thats all we are warning you to do. Hold them off while you still out number them. I just for the life of me can't figure out why there is such a **** you attitude as it pertains to MA residents from those of you living in NH. Your state motto should be "'cause **** you, we're better than you thats why!"

No... douchey is someone yelling at you about leaves on your lawn when their house is on fire.

It's not a benevolent "look out" tone, it's a "well here's some excuses for me to sit back and be defeated". If NH is such a lost cause, what's the point then? Just turn the guns in now. MA on the other hand is a lost cause, so why not be on the front lines rather than sitting in a POW camp? Because that might involve a longer commute and a financial commitment... oh-the-****ing-horror.

Fact remains, gun laws are generally going in a positive direction. The same d.b.'s crying chicken little about NH probably think Texas is some paradise because they don't know who Suzanna Hupp is. The same ignorant ass-hats clinging so desperately to the D vs R paradigm that they've never bothered to look at the real problems.

Before my time, you couldn't carry in most of the country... now the only two states to pass adverse laws after our equivalent of Dunblane were Colorodo- who set the tone after the fact with recalls... and NY which has been written off anyway. Reagan was anti-gun by today's standards.

The "look out New Hampshire" is anything but... it's "hey, here's something that makes me feel better about my situation".

Good points, I for one never thought I'd see concealed carry in the Land of Lincoln. However the tale is not so bright in the northeast. CT and NY have passed terrible laws and MA is talking about it. The entire northeast is a liberal haven so caution is warranted.

I get NH and the "It won't happen here" mentality but the truth is NH has not stacked the deck in its favor in terms of the make up of the state legislature and executive branch or who they have sent to Congress to vote on the national BS.

Also for people to suggest that we in MA would celebrate gun control in NH is ridiculous, as it would be for for NH to celebrate anymore laws being passed in MA.

Fair enough... so get up here and help us make our stand.

i won't jump into two pages of this thread, but i will say that i brought the lady and myself to NH, and we vote, and we'll put forth as much time and energy as we can to keep NH from becoming MA.

Rep inbound! This really needed to be said and quoted for truth!

I received a response from my representative. He's a hunter, who doesn't understand why a sportsman would want an assault weapon. I decided to point out that those are the weapons that were flying off the shelves all year in response to possible Federal Legislation, which shows that people do want them.

Post his email as well if that is what you received. What a d-bag.

My Rep is Steve Shurtleff, the one quoted in the Concord Monitor. As he actually did take the time to personally write back to me, I'd rather not post the email.

Screw that. Any man willing to infringe on your rights as a representative of the people shall get no respect from me. He has the balls to think that way he should have no problem having to respond to the criticism it will warrant.

Hmmm, sounds more like he gave a fudd response than a freedom lover's response:/

He is YOUR rep and works for YOU! Damn straight he should personally respond to you. That IS part of his job! His response should be made public, it affects how he will perform his job as YOUR representative.

Shurtleff is a tool- biggest fighter to repeal stand your ground and a former federal LEO who thinks only the qualified should be armed.

Wouldn't have expected any different from him- plus he represents Concord- which is gov loving moon bat central.

+1 right here.

Tom Gresham of Gun Talk keeps harping on the importance of getting involved in your local school board. The students of today become the voters of tomorrow. Students today are being infected with socialistic anti-freedom, and quite frankly, anti-American ideas in all 50 states of the union. Getting involved at the ground level at your school board meetings is how we directly combat this. The long term game plan of the progressive socialists is the educational system. They just keep creating more. It is not the net migration between NH and MA that is the risk, it is the fact that older liberty loving Americans are slowing passing on and being replaced by neo-socialists. We need more pro-liberty young people with minds that can think criticly.
