NEW H&K CC9 Review: Was the Wait Worth It?

"I think it sucks but I carry it anyways"

Then again I kind of understand this.

1911 and 2011s are like this. Really atrociously shitty f***ing platforms (like, from a reliability pov) but the upside wins are too great to ignore.
So my issues are

The grip is too slick
And the trigger is garbage

But the platform is a great size to carry 17+1 in...its accurate...optic ready...light bearing...reliable...and good shooting

The only thing that will potentially match this package is the canik mc9 - L which their qc has not be great lately and its not comp'd yet.

The hellcat is a nice pistol but the sites suck in the dark if your optic goes out and its snappier than the macro plus less cap

Glock doesnt have the capacity

Fn/sw are fn/sw so they are out by default

Walther doesnt have an offering

Ruger not comp'd either

Im not operating operationally enough for a shadow systems that may or may not run

I have a micro dagger comp from psa.. but its longer than the macro with less capacity...

So yeah the macro has flaws but its king at the moment

Although I'm gonna drop it faster than leo when his girfriend turns 23 as soon as they straighten that canik out and comp it

Lol capacity if you just ran a g19 (or similar) you'd still get 15 rounds. This subclass of "mini but actually lard" guns just don't make sense to me. Comping a carry gun doesn't work for me. Eww. But to each their own.

Dude I lusted after an M3 and M4 for years. But after seeing the random failures? "Nope".

The wins are not big enough to offset that. 🤣

Also you can buy your way out of the 1911/2011 malaise. Nobody sells a BMW reliability package.

ETA: At least BMW is not at RR or Jag level of stupidity though. So there’s that.

I used to buy BMW cooling system kits, containing every component of the cooling system, since they tend to all fail. You replace the entire thing every 90k miles. 😂

That would be the only way I can deal with a BMW or Audi is if I had a maint schedule that just involved throwing stuff away every x miles.

It shoots really well.. i dont like an external comp like the hellcat rdp or whatever.

But i think the macro shoots excellent and its smaller on all accounts than the glock

I cant really grip the new 19s either..that flare doesnt sit right in my hands

We get 10+1, so the 2011 and G19 are worse for us than a 1911 and 43X. Unless you want longer barrels on your carry pistol, then by all means. Slap a mag well on it and port every surface.

About 10 years ago I spoke with a guy who had a Range Rover. I asked him how he liked it. He said he liked it a lot. But twice it wouldn't start and had to be towed, out of an underground garage in Boston. [rofl]

One of my best friends had one of those cool V8 HSEs with the supercharger and all that. Nice truck, comfortable ride, great handling. Problem was it was broken half the time and he didnt even drive that much. I dont think it even had like 50k on it. Now I think he just leases them. He has a couple mercedes cars too, but those are bastions of reliability compared to that f***ing RR. He also had a Jag he bought used and had it transported to FL. Within like a month it shit the bed and he dumped it and replaced it with a used Lexus. [rofl]

That is so easily fixed for very short money.

I understand i have grip tape

But there are guns that do it far better than grip tape

Look up a kimber mako or a shadow systems cr920 for an example

So this gun has no thumb or trigger safety. How do you people put that in your pants and walk around all day without thinking about it? Glocks have trigger safety, so at least if it flies out of my holster and slaps the concrete, the kids at the park will live.

Talon grips are cheap, but you end up needing new shirts more often lol
They have 3 different textures. Rubber (smoothest). Granulate, which is like sand paper. Pro, which rubber with embedded granulate and is between the other two. If you use the rubber texture, it isn't going to wear out your clothes.

I like the sandpaper feeling though

How long does your rubber talons last? Mine only is good for roughly a year before it dries out and peels at the corners. Always had to wrap some ghetto black electrical tape around the top and bottom parts of the grip anyway.

I use the sandpaper ones. I haven't had mine peel at the corners yet.
