New Folks Check In and Say Hi #4

Hey All!

Just a newbie wanted to chime in to say hey. I'm relatively new to shooting(6mo ago shot my first handgun, couple of times with rifles previously), and fell in love. I've been "trolling" the forums(sorry) for a couple of weeks, and I will go green as soon as I get online at home and can use my wife's paypal acct. I'm 34 years old, live in Pembroke, Socialist Republic of Massachusetts, and I just received word from the PD that my new LTC A is ready for me to pickup. I should have it in my grimy mitts on Thursday. I am a true American first, and everything else comes after that. I never served our country and regret that tremendously, but have a staggering amount of respect for those of you who have. Thank You All for what you have done. There are those of us who DO truly appreciate it. I feel this country is heading down a road that will eventually lead to a cliff, and some in our government are keeping us from turning, or hitting the brakes. I want to give the members and admin here kudos for running such a great forum. I have been impressed with the amount of knowledge, experience, and helpfulness I have witnessed while checking the different threads. It is a refreshing change of pace from the usual interactions we all probably experience in our society nowadays. Thank You. I shall retreat back to the dark corners of the forum........

Congrats on your LTC, Amerigun1! When you can join the Secret Green Side there are many advantages - most of which is getting to know lots of great folks!! Welcome to the forum!!

Hey all,

another newbie here. Rather new to shooting. Been 'lurking' on the forums for the past month or so when I started researching MA gun laws, and figured I should probably introduce myself. Went with my friend a couple of times over the years and shot his H&K .45 and his Glock .40 and few others I can't remember and had a good time. Looking to get my LTC soon now that my wife is starting to be ok with the idea. I work full time in IT (Information Technology) as a Remote Support Engineer. I fix workstations, servers and networks all day. If you are experiencing computer problems, I can do my best to help you out via PM's, so feel free to bother me. I am into muscle cars, gaming, and snowboarding. I have great respect for those who serve our country. I tried my hardest to get into the Air Force about 5 years ago, but Uncle Sam shot me down when I told them I had open heart surgery and I would be a health risk. So now I have started looking for a Fire Department to work on part time. So, anywho, that's a little bit about me.

-Ryan

Thanks for the kind words about the site - we all feel the same way.

Hello to all from another new member!

I have just joined. I followed this forum for a while and I am highly impressed. Just like all legal gunowners in general, the members here are polite and helpful. I am not a member of other gun forums or social networks, excepting Ryze where I used to attempt to inspire liberals to use their brains many years ago (It got really boring eventually).

I hope that we have liberals on this forum so I can have a good time with them. You see, I was born and spend half of my life in the Soviet Union and this fact really helped my development (5 years prison minimum for posessing any firearm there then).

So far I have concluded that if this country has a chance for a future it stems from the wisdom of the Founders who gave us the second amendment.

Greetings to all of you.

Hi gang, been lurking for a little bit before I decided to sign up. Moved from RI a few years ago (at CT before that). Ex-Navy, ex-CT LTC holder that used to shoot frequently. Alas, family, work put a damper on that.

Fast forward to new house, new job, new wife and finally able to get back into my first love of a hobby. Hopefully will be submitting my LTC application in the new few week after I take a "refresher" course, and my wife is also going to take it with me. I'm sure I'll have a million newbie questions as it looks like MA isn't the most friendly gun state (I'm 1/2 mile from NH! Had I only known!).

Hi everyone - I just moved back home to Mass. I was Navy and owned guns in VA and AZ where I just went to the store and bought them. Sold them in AZ and haven't shot in a while. I always enjoyed it though I didn't seem to get much shooting in (even though I was Weapons Officer in the Navy!) but I am looking forward to getting my LTC.
This looks like a great forum with nice people - glad I found it!

Hi everyone. New subscriber to this forum and a proudly new LTC class A holder. I don't have a firearm yet but know I want a semi-automatic. My girlfriend as well will be a class A holder and wants to get a revolver. Anyway, thats it in a nutshell.... see you around the boards.

Uh... "a" semi-automatic? "a" revolver?? Ashdump, you're going to find out that guns are like Lays potato chips - ya can't just have ONE. [laugh] Anyway, welcome!

Hello

Hello Everyone.
Reading the forums and learning some things.
Currently just practicing with my first Pistol (no revolvers yet) a Ruger Mark III. I had a little difficulty with the first cleaning but now I pop it apart and put it back together no problem. Getting married in two months to a fantastic woman and changing my name to hers for many reasons.
Thanks for letting me read here and Good Luck.
Alex
