Let me start July with a .380 Ortgies. She has likely been exported to the U.S. in the 1923 timeframe and returned to Germany in 1939. There are still 5 rounds with headstamps 'Peters .380' with her.
Next week she'll move in with her .25 and .32 siblings already present.
Interesting details: Deutsche Werke, who acquired all the tools, WIP, drawings, patents from Heinrich Ortgies were allowed under the Versailles treaty to make the .32 and .380 pistols up until 1922, but kept on making them supposedly until at least the end of 1923. Swapping the .32 for a .380 barrel was all what was needed to convert the .32s to a .380 which were categorized as a military caliber and therefore Deutsche Werke had to stop making them.
The majority of Ortgies pistols were exported to the U.S., being marked 'Germany' on the underside of the frame. Deutsche Werke sold large quantities to the U.S.: In 1922 a batch of 48,000 pistols were sold to an unnamed U.S. importer at the price of U.S. $ .66 apiece (yeah right, that's 66 Cents!), a later batch of 43,000 pistols were sold at the price of U.S. $ .75.
The .32 and .380 pistols are the same size whereas the .25 is significantly smaller, just scaled down.
Enjoy!

Ehh what the hell, I'll post it here too for conversation sake even though I had my own thread for it...the more the merrier right?

Late 80s Desert Eagle with 14.5", 10", and 6" barrels with a gorgeous/mint polished blue finish. I believe it was unfired up until I shot it today [laugh]

The last thing I needed was another AR, but this one is in .22LR. I always have people asking me about shooting, guns, etc. Most Mass residents I know are misinformed or under informed. I bought this with the explicit intention of converting antis. All metal with the same ergonomics and manual of arms as its big brothers.

This is my first .22LR, actually.

What brand of magazines does it use?

I was fortunate to pick up this 1943 SVT-40 recently for alot less than they typically go for. I've wanted an SVT-40 for the collection for a while but I didn't want to spend the crazy $$$ they seem to going for lately.

This one is very clean....seems to be a Bulgarian refurb. It's in excellent shape with a mint bore....not to mention no import marks. It also still had plenty of cosmoline under the wood line that took a while to clean up.

The Tippmann takes a proprietary magazine, they seem to work well, and come in 10 15 and 25 rounds and can be adjusted by moving a pin inside the mag when disassembled..... For those thinking of what the future may bring

picked up a new Ruger GP100 in 357Magnum at Cabelas on Sunday using POINTS.. so basically FREE for me.. can't beat free guns. My first revolver... been aching for a good revolver for a while now..

now to just find ammo... anyone have any leads on reasonably priced .357 and in stock.?
Nice pickup.
Ive been eyeballing one of those for almost a year.
It'll be that or a chiappa

No such thing.

Buy one of these. Download an old reloading manual (process hasn’t changed at all since they have been printing them) look up new data online and hammer away.

I’ve loaded many a beautiful 357 on one of these loaders.

I’ll toss you a couple hundred bullets and some brass.

Then all you need is primers at 10 cents a pop and 6-7 cents worth of powder. Beats the heck out of the 70 cents a round they want for 357 online.
