I realize this isn't a gun, but come on, its a Schmidt and Bender lol
Schmidt and Bender 6x42 Klassik fixed power with 30mm tube and A7 reticle. Not pictured are Spuhr Aesthetic Hunting Rings and Optik Arms bases. Kahles K16i in Spuhr QDP-3006 for comparison purposes.
The S+B has clearer optical quality and a wider field of view than the Kahles. One of the reasons why I bought the S+B was to see how good S+B optical quality was because I'm interested in a S+B LPVO and I'm impressed. The 6x42 is very light, as well. The reticle is very thick, there's no chance of loosing it in brush.
I bought the S+B plus rings and bases through Optics Trade in Slovenia. I put my order in on October 17, the order shipped on February 4 after S+B built the scope, and I got everything here in NH today, February 8. I like doing business with Optics Trade for stuff that can't easily be bought in the US... like these.
I bought the 6x42 for a Zastava M70 bolt action in 8x57 with double set trigger. I wanted an old school Euro scope that wouldn't seem out of place on an older-style rifle. Sticking a big 3-18 or 3-21 or 3-24 modern hunting scope on an old school wood and steel, double set trigger rifle just seemed weird. Luckily, S+B still makes fixed power scopes.
Let's say that I hope to be a future S+B customer...
After weeks and weeks trying decide between the Shield Plus, Hellcat, and 365X I finally made a choice. Now trying to decide on a holster that accommodates a TLR6 and optic. Anyone have anything to say about these?

Picked up a new CZ SP-01 Shadow today. Will be sent to Cajun Gun Works for the full pro package so it’s identical to my other S1. Might get some hard chrome work done too.
Wanted a backup gun for IDPA/USPSA
Needed a 9mm "modern" handgun for my new armed security position, and a Level 3 Duty Holster. As such, I had to buy my first ever modern gun...currently my "youngest" piece was from 1945. S&W M&P 9 2.0, no thumb safety.
Cashed in my brothers $600 gift certificate he got me for Christmas. Tought my T3X needed company. Tikka T1X, Vortex scope and about 5-6 different 22LR match and std velocity ammo. Probably should have bought another safe mine is getting pretty crowded. I can barely fit everything in it, but then again its a small safe. Sounds like a 1st world white guy problem.
