New FFL

Just finished my FFL and just waiting for a time to meet w/ my CLEO for submission. Applying in NH. Starting small with a non-inventory business but want to grow it into a shop ASAP. Any pointers from anyone? Thanks

Why do you meet with your CLEO to submit your application? This is not a requirement. You are required to NOTIFY your CLEO, not meet or talk to him.

The only thing I would potentially do in NH before submitting my application is meet with the appropriate zoning person to confirm that the type of FFL you want to get is allowed under town zoning bylaw. The ATF will contact this person and ask the very same question so knowing the answer ahead of time is good.

Once you have your FFL there are other things you need to apply for/get (NH license to sell pistols, background account with state police, etc).

For reference I am a FFL in both Littleton, MA and in Nashua, NH.

I didn't know that you also have a NH FFL!
 
My zoning committee is all set as far as I know and there is a section on the application the CLEO has to fill out and sign. Lastly the CLEO in my town is part time making it necessary to meet him.
