I don't think Magnum sells guns anymore. I think it's just screen printing and his bullet proof backpack's & briefcase's he developed. Click on the link and you'll see Mike doing a demo shooting a briefcase. It's pretty cool and Mike's a nice guy but I think he's out of firearm sales.

FYI -- broken/unavailable MAssachusetts Gun Store links a/o 31 January 2011:
- Northborough, MA Tite Group Sporting
- Stoughton, MA Tackle Unlimited
- Sutton, MA Stoney Acre Sports

Don't know if the shops are still in business or not, but the URLs each point to a "domain may be for sale" page.

Well, I met the owner of Tackle Unlimited at the gun show on Saturday. He looked well to me. [wink]

He explained that he does NOT have any "shop hours" but will meet someone by appt. He has a regular job and enjoys his time off. He had a LOT of very nice stuff, just ask 50BMG . . . thanks to Fred's comments I walked back to the TU table and had a nice chat.

50BMG works part time for Stoney Acre Sports and I assure you that both he and John (owner) were also at the show and looked fine to me. [wink]

A lot of these guys aren't real computer folks and may have abandoned the website or just forgot to renew.

No idea about Mike at Tite Group as I rarely (twice) get up that way.

Gun and Sport North is no longer in Lawrence,MA, they moved up 28 into Salem, NH a year or 2 ago.

Is no longer at this location. It's a empty store front.

This is false, you have to enter the door to the right of the empty store and go down the short hallway. I am there at least once a week sometimes twice.

It was on the map.. I updated it to include the address and website.

Thanks for the help.

If Anyone else happens to notice a shop missing or can point me to adding additional information(websites are great IMO) I will be more than willing to update this...

So far this map has 18K + views....

Can you add " Guns and Gear."

I'm not sure about this one: Chicopee, MA Ricky's Gun Room , his webpage says he's in Florida

I'm not sure about this one: Southampton, MA American Jingo Trading Post, I've never heard of them and there website link doesn't work.

Does Magnum in Danvers actually have firearms?

Their site looks like it only has gear.

Someone let me know; I might stop by after school one day to peruse their collection if they carry guns.

As far as I know Mike is only doing Silk Screening, Embroidery, Panels & Kevlar Back Packs. All apparel type stuff. I think he's still the training guy for Hamilton Wenham Rod & Gun and gives the State Police Gun Saftey Course. I don't think he sells guns or ammo anymore but probably still has his FFL for transfers.

Loading the Gun Shops of Mass or NH into your Garmin nuvi GPS

I used this procedure for my 5 year old Garmin nuvi 260w.

This may work exactly the same for other Garmin POI-capable models.
Some of this may also be helpful for other brands with procedures adjusted accordingly.

Get the Garmin POI loader tool:
Garmin | United States | POI Loader
It is free. There is a download link.

Connect your Garmin nuvi to your computer using USB to mini-USB cable.
Ensure that your GPS is detected by your computer. If not, try another cable. I’ve seen some that don’t work.
Not all USB cables are created equal.

After this check, it’s ok to exit and go back to it later.

Go to the Google Map
https://maps.google.com/maps/user?uid=204463306223371432529&hl=en&gl=us
(Insert sincere thanks to WeedWhacker / Aaron here)
Click on either Mass or NH

In the left side of the page, under the “Created on” line, you will see ratings, Write a comment and a link labeled KML

Click on the KML link and save the KML (Keyhole Markup Language) format file to your computer.
Perhaps make a folder for GPS files. Remember where you saved the file.

Now go to the Garmin POI manager tool:
Edit Garmin POI files, TomTom POI files or Navman POI files - Online POI Manager

In the POI Manager – Online Tool, Browse to select the KML file on your computer.
On the next page, select the format to save. The POI Loader tool above can use CSV (Comma Separated Value) or GPX (GPS Exchange) format files.
I selected GPX and saved it to the same folder where I saved the KML file.

Now start to the POI Loader tool installed on your computer.
Please select where you would like to save your custom POIs: Garmin Device
Click Next
Using Find Device, it should select the GPS attached to your computer via USB.
When it finds your GPS, click Next
Install new custom POIs onto your device
Browse to where you saved the GPX or CSV file
Enter a name for your custom POI file (such as GunShopsOfNH)
Click Next

The next screen should show Congratulations! You have successfully installed XX custom POIs on our device.
Click Finish

I do hope this is helpful for someone.
(I'm not certain if this is the correct thread to post this)
