i bought a new bcg from palmetto, it ships dry.
i bought some clp. do i just spray the bcg liberally
or do i need to soak it?

Mine came pretty gunked up from Palmetto. I pulled the BCG all apart and washed down with CLP. The one I didn't I had misfires with, as there was too much crap around the firing pin area.

Soak it in mobile 1 10-30 for at least a week. They need to marinate.

I would detail strip the BCG , clean it well. Warm soapy water does well.
The a liberal coat of clp on all the parts. Put it back to gether and just wipe off the excess.

The steel can't absorb oil in any measurable quantity so soaking is pointless. Clean, lube, shoot, repeat.

clean it with warm soapy water then apply peanut butter (best to use the smooth non crunchy type) all over. It smells delicious when it heats up as your shooting...

Mine came dry too, sprayed the crap out of it. I like to run wet.

You need to heat it up to activate the self lubing properties of the proprietary metallic pores.

Seems it did. Sorry, was distracted applying Frog Lube to my bolt carrier just so. I ate the rest when I was done. Tastes just like paste but minty.
