Following the great trend of technically from the month before, let March begin!
I picked up the receivers for both of these Saturday (shout out to Minuteman Armament for dealing with my pile of stuff). Actually had enough free time today to build them.

First, Remington 870 purchased as a Stripped receiver/mag tube, added an 870 kit from APEX.

Loving it so far, hoping to get a chance to actually shoot it soon.

Already daydreaming about getting it cerakoted - found this little gem somewhere, and while I currently have no way of acquiring the Salvo that goes with it, i love the look of the Titanium Blue

Second build up is a 10/22 in 17HM2 - notable as a Mass-legal nighttime coyote gun (Chambered not larger than a 22lr) May end up dyeing the stock, pending some trial runs on other fde magpul stuff. Might do a quick how to on that it I like how it turns out.

Just a barrel swap away from being a normal 22, so when the ammo dries up, not the end of the world. And it might not at that, Aguila makes something called .17 pmc, sort of a 22wrf to 22wrm if i understand correctly. 12c/rd shipped where I found it, should be here tomorrow (if Fedex will make up its damn mind, they've changed the date 3 times now)

Just picked this up at my dealer today. Raspberry SR22 for the wife. She loves it. Hopefully this will lure her to the range more often lol. View attachment 160508

Pretty good deal at $325 out the door. New in box. Need to clean and lube it up. Then dry fire it to break it in (in addition to shooting it of course).

Just finished my 308 AR!!

After I finally got company I got rail from to send me the correct barrel nut. Built this with all top shelf parts.

Detail
AWS LFOD receiver set
JP LMOS BCG
JP silent capture spring
Hyperfire 24 FCG (it's amazing)
Armalite NM barrel
Sons of Liberty (SLR) solo ultra lite rail (under 10oz with nut)
SLR titanium adjustable gas block
Titanium SuperComp XL brake
Raptor noveske charging handle
Magpul PRS
KNS pins

Only thing is the weight of the barrel, I didnt realize it was almost 5 lb. I may swap it out. If anyone has suggestions would love to hear them.

Looks good man, my 20" Green Mountain 223 Wylde barrel weights less than that! Maybe look into one of those?

Nothing new here lately aside from picking up a mocked up DD BCG for cheap from on here. My frankenbuild is almost done. How do you like the Raptor vs a BCM ch?

Rather small acquisition...... just a pair of shoes for this old girl.
But she is rather proud of her new look.

Just won this tonight on Gunbroker. Siamese Mauser in 45/70. Tuesday is my 65th birthday and this is my present to myself. I see some shoulder smashing loads in the immediate future. Pumpkins beware!

Picked up a Mark X Mauser in 458 Win Mag last weekend.

Dwarven1 thinks I'm nuts, or at least a recoil junkie.

First, the 338 Lapua in December, now a 458 Win Mag.

Hot stuff! A Siamese Mauser in 45-70 has been on my list for 20+ years. Be sure to give us a range report.

Finally got something chambered in 10mm. Glock 20 Gen 2, got it off gunbroker.com for a great price. Plus some brand new Starline 10mm brass.

Are they safe to dry fire ? I thought most 22lr it's not a good idea to.

According to the manual you can. But I didn't end up dry firing it that much. The wife ended up blasting through 350 rounds which is much better than dry firing[grin]

Do NOT dry fire .22LR pistols, you WILL damage the firing Pin!

Did they manage to get the optic mount straight on yours? I saw one where the mount was off a good amount!

It was hitting 3" high at 25 yards out of the box. If it was crooked I didn't notice. For that matter not sure how you could tweak the actual mount - it's a 90 degree bent piece of aluminum. Getting it crooked would take a big whack.

Page 17 of the Ruger SR-22 manual says dry firing the SR-22 will not damage the firing pin or other components as long as the magazine is inserted.

Page 18 states SR-22 firing pins $25.00 each plus shipping. lol

Dee mach, khup!
There was a Siamese Mauser down in Southport, CT for the longest time, but it's finally gone. This one was still in the original 8x50RR. I would think the .45-70 retrofit would make it much easier to feed.
Good job!
