Picked up a safe from TSC last week. Got it upstairs all by myself [smile]. The stairwell paid a price for it, but it needed some touching up anyway. I've already installed LED lights for it and I get big bags of dessicants from work, so everything is happy and dry now. Its a good feeling knowing that not only are my firearms locked up, I can keep all my metals and documents in there as well. Good piece of mind.

Here's a shot before everything went into it.

They sound amazing. I want to put them downstairs in the living room, but the sound bar and subwoofer combo works awesome for our TV.

Worked perfect for me. Shot 50 rounds of 338 Win Mag yesterday and the recoil felt more like my 30-30 rather than the mule kicking.

Shipped in 2 days, arrived 2 days later, absolutely no problems.

I am curious to hear how your customer service was. I had a horrendous experience with a .223/5.56 brake I purchased for my target crowned AR15 upper. The first one they sent was cut for a 308. It took many months and many e-mails to finally get the correct one delivered.

I'm glad to hear they have things figured out. Once I got the correct brake I've been very happy with it. Based on my experience I was very hesitant to recommend them. I think it's a great economical option for those with target crown barrels who don't want to thread the barrel or replace barrel with a threaded one.

Figured I'd share. I'll find glass & APA lil bastard 2 brake when I get my bonus.
Dig the trigger. But I have to dremel some of the stock away. It's touching the barrel just slightly.

That's the coolest finish I've seen. I'm a black only guy, but I like that a lot. Did they do it for you?

Aero Precision does monthly builder's sets with different finishes. Generally they are a Cerakote of some kind. They've done a few Battleworn (tm) finishes before. The Battleworn Burnt Bronze is pretty nice. This is the first time they have offered this one. The company that does it only does OEM stuff. I'd like to get a Battle Arms Development Sabertube in the same finish, but they don't do anything but OEM stuff. Which is too bad. Shops doing NiB aren't common, doing these kind of fancy finishes are even more rare.

Subscribing to their newsletter is worth it just to see the cool stuff they come up with in terms of their finishes. They also give away a complete rifle each month in the pattern they are selling for their builders sets. They are a great company. And local to me here in Tacoma WA

It has been far, far too long since I posted here.

Newly added to the MA roster, I picked up this Ruger SR1911 Lightweight Commander in 9mm from my friends at The Armory in Woburn as a Christmas present for my wife.

She had been unhappy with her accuracy using her GP100 3" as compared to my full-size SR1911, with which she is lights out.

I think she'll love it!

finally got this barrel drilled for the gas block pins (big thanks to K.L. Hooton gunsmithing in Palmer, MA, real nice guy, very quick turnaround, and reasonable price. only just met him/heard of him so it's not like this is a ringing endorsement for my uncle but I'd recommend him in western ma), have been sitting on the kit for over a year, colt m16a1 kit

Sig P224 SAS 9mm, 5 extra mags, a Stealth Operator OWB Holster, 60rds of HST 150g Micro and 40rds of HST 124g.

MPX done for now.

What ammo are you shooting with that? Have you run any HP / defensive ammo?
I have a 9mm SBR AR that runs perfectly on 115g fmj factory stuff, or my 147g USPSA reloaded fodder, but will not feed any of my on hand HP stuff. My problem doesn't seem to be a cartridge length issue, but a bullet profile issue.

I havent yet, just 115gr ball

Savage model 93 In 17HMR, I love thumbhole stocks complete with Sightron 36X Scope, look at the clearance between the barrel and the scope I don't think you could fit a C hair between them. [laugh]
