New toy for a new year (I've actually had her for a while, but she's finally gtg)

I put a Swiss style handguard because I didn't really like the fishgill one.

Bought a Garand from a fellow NES'er. I havnt taken it down but was told only the trigger group and lower stock is not matching. The Lower stock seems to be a blank but looks as though could have been from that time, not sure. Will research what they did back then if something was damaged and what replaced damaged parts. Obviously a new Sling but the Gun is in AWESOME condition. Came with over 600 rnds of ammo and bayo. Think the bayo is a repro but its still cool! Going to look into the serial and see when and where it was back in the day!

JDubs, that is an awesome rig.

The M1 rifle is my all time favorite. Used it as a drill rifle for four years at USNA and bought my own from the CMP six and a half years ago.

Hello Jose! I am very happy to have it, my whole life oddly a Garand was always that one gun I wanted very badly. One of my uncles did a lot of shooting with me as a kid and I remember him telling me that I should start saving for one as they are one of the best functional pieces of history with a lot of power. I saved but they were always out of reach, too expensive and too beat to heck to be worth the $$ on the tag. Finaly 20 years later I come by an awesome price and its mint to boot. Taking it out tomorow! I broke it all down and from what I can tell a lot of this really is matching and the barrel is original 1943 issue but hardly worn, perhaps an unissue picked up later in life. Im stoked!

The Accustock is a huge improvement on Savage's part, With the reinforced fore end the free float barrel stays free floated. I was not crazy about the digital camo but it's growing on me. For glass I am putting a Leupold Mark 2 4-12X40 which is sitting in the UPS wharhouse in Warwick right now. Finished it off with a EGW 1pc base and Burris X-treme tactical rings. I just threw a cheap Simmons I had on for the pic. I think this is quickly going to become my favorite rifle, weight and balance are great and the stock feels so much more solid than the older design.

Put the kiddies to Bed, its time for some gun porn! At least it is to me! I just picked up the Thompson M1 I won through GOAL's latest 20 gun Raffle. Came with a nice case and 1 pre-ban High Cap mag. Booyeah! A big thanks to GOAL, you guys are great. You dont get enough credit for what you do for us Gun owners, and I mean that not just because I won a gun.

They're no longer made by Sig. Hammerli took over the rights under their xesse model, but the same gun aside from Hammerli marking up the price a few hundred bucks. Another forum member on here has one and I shot it a couple weeks ago at the range and HAD to have one. Easily the nicest factory .22LR pistol I've ever shot.
