Was thinking of organizing a meet up dinner kind of like what Len does but without the $25 a plate before drinks, tip, tax, and apps. I think of the poors, damnit!
Would like to do a meet up at somewhere with a decent variety of foods, where alcohol can be served to those who partake, and checks can be easily individual.
I am aiming for November 2nd, a Saturday, and figuring a meetup time of either 6pm or 7pm, I don't know what time most of you eat dinner, but I turn into a pumpkin at 10 most nights.
Possible places to eat that can easily accommodate us....
Any Hangar (great chicken, wraps, basically bar food. Think Wing Stop or whatever you favorite local wing place is, but with actually good chicken. Looking at you, Buffalo Wild Wings). The South Hadley MA one is 10 mins off the highway whether you come in by the Pike or 91. You'll be stuffed eating-wise for $15 with water, tax, and tip.
A more upscale option, with slightly higher menu prices is the Grapevine Grill in Belchertown. Italian place, plates range $15 to $50 depending on your tastes.
There is the Boathouse, directly on the CT River in SH and also has great food, and a similar price range as the Grapevine.
Trying to stay away from Springfield to avoid live-fire training and make it so people on the far side of Quabbin, up in the hill-towns, and north near Greenfield area still feel like that can make it.
Reptile do not make things awkward again and asking people to take their un-ordered sides and left overs.
