My father in law passed away 2 years ago.
he had 2 shotguns.
She wants rid of them asap.
I went and got my MA ClassA <sport restriction> permit.
What is the legal process for transfering the guns.
My mother in law has never had a license so I don't know how to approach.
thank you,

Just found this in thread about found guns in attic:
>>Fill our the FA-10s and check the box labelled "registration".

same apply here?

NO

Take her and the guns to a FFL for transfer.

Since she has no licenses she can not sell or gift them to you without a FFL involved

Depending on time frame there are some grace periods for executor of wills in the law. INAL so I defer on that matter. But if you have a LTC Class A high capacity with a sporting restriction, you can transport the two shotguns with your mother-in-law to a FFL and he can do the paperwork to transfer to firearms to you.
