I was given this revolver by my grandfather and I have no idea what model or manufacturer it is. It has no barrel to it and there is a shell stuck in it. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction on what it is and how to restore it. I'm guessing it is from the early 1900's, but I could be incorrect. And help is greatly appreciated.

Well it has a S&W cartridge in it. With the letters WRA stamped on it as well. I don't know the size unfortunately. I've been trying to get the grips off, but with not much luck. The thing that is really trowing me off is the way the trigger is. It has a pivot point in it.

Look up "Folding Trigger Revolver" on google....it's not unique, around the turn of the last century, it was a fairly common design over the pond. Lots of european guns were close in caliber, and, at some point in the past, an American cartridge may have been tried. After all, the barrel had to go somewhere! [laugh]

Thank you MisterHappy for pointing me in the right direction with a Belgian design. I found out its a .32 caliber with about a 2 inch barrel for it. Kinda like the precurser to a Saturday night special. Thank you for everyone's help!

I'd restore it just for fun. Did anyone notice that it has a safety on the left side? If it is Belgian, it would have Belgian proof marks on it somewhere. If it were British, the proof marks would be on the barrel. Take a wire brush to the top strap and you might find a name there under the rust.

not sure there is that much there to restore. though it may be a fun project to practice scaling off rust and loosening stuck bolts. Soak it kroil for about a week and see what happens.
