I recently acquired this Marlin Model 94 rifle from my 87 year old neighbor. This was his father's rifle.

Does anyone know what caliber it is? When it was manufactured?

Thanks

Why can't I have a neighbor like that... [sad]

Any how,
MODEL 1894
- .25-20 WCF, .32-20 WCF, .38-40 WCF, or .44-40 WCF cal., case colored receiver, 10 shot tube mag., 24 in. round or octagon barrel, straight or pistol grip stock. Mfg. 1894-1934.

Grading 100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60% 50% 40% 30% 20% 10%
N/A N/A $2,500 $1,995 $1,650 $1,250 $875 $625 $450 $400 $375 $350
Add 25% for saddle ring carbine.
Add 10% for .44-40 WCF cal.
Add 40% for Baby Carbine with 18 in. barrel and 1/2 mag.
Add 15%-20% for takedown model, depending on condition.
Add 100% for Musket.
Factory special orders/features will add premiums, depending on the desirability of each option and the gun's original condition factor.
Strong, original case colors over 95% condition can result in $2,500 asking prices.
Later production guns were marked "Model ´94" and have less value. This model was also available in both a Carbine and Musket variation.

I believe the caliber for this rifle is .25-20.

I want to sell it...how much should I sell it for?
