Hello NES,
I just purchased a 1943 Finnish M39. It is my first Mosin rifle. Its in beautiful condition IMO. It is a bare rifle. I was hoping someone could tell me or show me what the original rifles were issued with. Sling, bayonet, stripper clips? pictures or links would be appreciated!

BTW, before anyone chimes in with, "you should have checked the forum first", I have. I have only found out that an M27 style bayonet might fit.

Thanks

Hey HiCap,

Glad you like it! I see some M39 bayonets on fleabay but they are always priced very high. I'd still like to have one. They look more like a hunting knife than a bayonet. Earlier Finn bayonets look like bayonets.

Not sure what the original stripper clips look like or how they are priced. I bought some of these https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Arms-Gear-7-62X54R-Reusable/dp/B01B5C3YNG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1471392828&sr=8-5&keywords=mosin+stripper+clips for match shooting. Seem to work OK for me.

Slings are not difficult to find. They are however very basic and not much support for accurate shooting.

I have not seen any Finnish clips in a while. I bought some that have the Tikka stamp on them.... I bough them on the word that they work best? They are not that great for rapid reloads. This is a reproduction. https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/pro...ction-package-of-10-stripper-clips-mgr-343.do
So far the best ones are more like the Russian Bulgarian style https://www.amazon.com/Mosin-Nagant...471494904&sr=8-1&keywords=mosin+striper+clips as long as they are not twisted these work awesome. PM you some other stuff

You need a bayonet to complete the package. Some can be found on milsurp forums, but they are expensive. This is a repro, but still fetches well over $100.

It took me years to find a real M39 bayonet. As to stripper clips I purchased some war time issued ammunition which included the stripper clips. It wasn't cheap and I don't use the ammunition or the stripper clips since they are rare.

Check on Gunboards and ask if anyone has any for sale. Just beware of reproductions.
