Looking for some suggestions. This will be mounted to a Remington 700 BDL. I presently have a Leapers variable power scope, and it is garbage. It doesn't seem to hold zero, and also isn't very clear. I need something that will work in low light, and be sufficient for 300-400 yard shots on deer sized game. I would like to keep the price under $350. Used optics would be fine, if anyone has something that would work. I'm leaning toward a Leupold VX II, but I'm not familiar with anything Leupold. Please suggest only scopes that you have used first hand. Thanks for the help.

I think the Leupold would be a good choice, the VX-ll 2-7X brand new can be bought for about $300. Tough as they get, will hold zero even through bumps and raps, lifetime warrantee. I LOVE Leupold scopes, I have a few of them. You might find a VX-lll has better clarity at 400 yards though.
