Need a RI FFL

The closest will probably be Island Gun Shop in Portsmouth, but I am not sure what he charges. Cranston Gun and Coin in North Kingstown charge $20 for the transfer the last time I shipped. The actual shipping is additional and will vary quite a bit depending on whether it is a long gun or hand gun. I assume this is a handgun, so the shipping should not be that much.

An individual can ship a firearm to an FFL. Long guns can be shipped through the post office, handguns must be sent private carrier (UPS or FedEx). The key here is you must disclose the firearms to the shipping agent.

Most people don't know that, and use FFLs. If it's a handgun you're better off using an FFL because they can ship them through the post office, which is much cheaper.
