What time are you planning to be at Four Seasons? I'm going to be there when they open at 9:00AM...
Maybe we should have a mini NES meet-n-greet?

Another Year, Another Ammo Day/Week
In the very first year of National Ammo Day, we tried to track exactly how many rounds of ammo came into the public's possession on that day.
For various reasons, the closest estimate we could come up with was about ten million rounds.
In one day.
Now, much later, we expect that many millions more will be bought by you, our gun-owning friends, on or around November 19th, 2005.
There are several gun shows taking place around that time, and of course gun stores will be open on Saturday, November 19th -- so get out there and show the gun-fearing wussies that their attempts to disarm us will fail, forever.
Last year, there were three separate attempts to tax ammo sales (in California's case, the amount was pennies per cartridge), and while all such legislature has so far failed, let's not be overly-optimistic.
Remember, the more ammunition rests in civilian hands, the more impossible the task of civilian disarmament becomes.
Tell all your friends.
One hundred rounds, or more, on or around November 19th.

Kim du Toit said:As one of my Readers said, when talking about Ammo Day’s sooper-seekrit plan to buy ammo at Wal-Mart at 3.30pm Central on November 19th, the plan is to make Wal-Mart’s computers “cough up a hairball”.
Here’s how it works, and this is why I’m temporarily suspending my personal avoidance of Wal-Mart, just this once.
Wal-Mart’s sales tracking system is one of the most sophisticated in the world—certainly, in terms of the “mass-merchandiser” channel, it is without peer—and they boast of how quickly they can respond to a sales “spike” in terms of preventing an out-of-stock condition (which is an anathema to any retail outlet, because it’s a “lost sale").
So… when a whole bunch of gun owners goes to Wal-Mart stores all over the country and cleans them out of a certain kind of ammo (in this case, Winchester White Box), this fact will be noted on Wal-Mart’s computers.
Well, so what?
There are two reasons why I think this is a grand idea. Firstly, it should be known that Wal-Mart doesn’t carry guns and ammunition because they’re staunch Second Amendment supporters: Wal-Mart carries guns and ammo because these items generate revenue and profit. (In fact, when Wally World has been confronted with local GFW government regulations, they’ve stopped selling guns and/or ammo, without a backward glance.)
So it won’t hurt to remind Wal-Mart that a.) there are a lot of gun owners out there and that b.) we wield a great deal of purchasing power, if we choose to.
That’s the first reason.
The second reason has to do with Ammo Day itself. If any of you know any non-GFW journalists (yeah, I know), email them and ask them to contact Wal-Mart on Monday morning (11/21), and ask whether they noticed a large increase in ammunition sales over the weekend. The followup question, of course, is this: does Wal-Mart know why the sales of ammo spiked on this particular weekend?
If Wal-Mart makes some noises about “hunting season” and “usual seasonal sales increase”, the followup question to that is whether the increase in sales was in typical hunting ammunition, or was it also handgun ammo?
And finally, ask Wal-Mart if they’ve ever heard of National Ammo Day.
Let’s see if the Press can do a little investigative journalism, shall we?

Wouldn't you just know it... I went into Four Seasons with the intent on buying a good amount of ammo.... And of course what happens.. They had a couple of the Kahr K40 police trade-ins... So, you guessed it!
I put it on layaway for now. I'll probably pick it up next week!

Nice find. I've been looking at the Kahr MK9, it seems like a nice hadngun. I have to wait until I get out of work before I do any shopping though.
