Natick Mall Firearms K9

The dogs are trained to sniff out gun oils.
If you have an ltc they will escort you out to your vehicle, You can then either leave your firearm In your car or leave the mall.
If you do not have an ltc the police will be brought in.

Kindly calling BS on everything here^

But putting hands on someone for carrying a firearm in a mall is a huge stretch vs. a shoplifter.
Agreed. But I’m just saying they do have legal authorities greater than a random stranger. That’s all.

But they’re also often hesitant to avoid such things because of the risk of hefty lawsuits.

Go to Bass Pro or Cabelas or any other place that might sell "Fox Urine". spill a few drops on the planters or on the side of any benches and walk away. Then watch the fun. If it is a male K9 it will sniff and lift its leg at each location. A female will squat and leave her mark.

Some of you need more hobbies so you stop wasting time coming up with ideas of how to mess with a dog.

I try to stay away from malls because I don't like crowds of idiots but sometimes I do go to the Natick one. I always carry. If the dog sniffs me out, I'll leave so I don't get trespassed. That's it, end of story - it's literally as simple as that.

That is amazing, with all the different gun oils there are.

I recently started using Lucas Oil and Ballistol.

I also have 3 spray cans of other oils and the good old Hoppe's 9.

What kind of idiot tries to detain someone carrying a gun?
The kind that knows that the gun-carrier will not draw it.

Big difference between a holstered firearm that gets accidentally exposed, and an umbrella in a backpack. (New folks google: Burlington Mall Umbrella Scare)

I go there once in a great while, if just to validate the 10+ percent higher prices. I have a lock box in the car, if I get sniffed out but I would probably just leave.

Don’t forget Eezox. Smells 100 times better than Hoppes. You could use it for cologne but for the fact that it would rip your skin apart.

I don't do malls either. What I have suggested is not to mess with dog but to screw with the whole program. If this takes off, you can bet that it will be used in other malls and shopping centers.

There is a lot of Rube Goldberg thinking going on here.

Has anyone considered this could be a bluff from the mall to make everyone think that they have "the situation" under control?

This is really about making the hoplophobes think they are safe.

I am really skeptical that anyone will ever be sniffed off of the premises.

I say let's put this Nation back to work! Hire a gypsy today!...

This is Oxsula. Oxsula has a 39% success rate*... (and mainly works for tips)

* Rates may vary if you have a persnickety dead Uncle that just won't leave you alone because you never put his tools back where they belong....

If the dog doesn't alert on the Ballistol from at least 20 yards away, the whole patrol thing is obviously a ruse.

Personally, if a mall deems the safety and security of its facilities such that armed personnel with a K9 are needed, I'm not going there.

99.9% of what's available at the mall is available online...

I'm in trouble if this really takes off and they start putting them in bars... 🤔
