They are absolutely trained on powder residue. Anyone with a knife would get sniffed out for oils.Wouldn't powder residue make more sense? I'll bet you more people walk around with dirty guns that all oiled up and clean. Especially the types of morons that pop off in malls.
No need.I don’t remember starting with “Bless me Father, for I have sinned.”
I hope they sick the dog on me while I'm trying to leave peacefully. I really want the new Supra with the manual. They can't detain you. If they try to, that's a crime (assault, assault & battery, etc.).
They are absolutely trained on powder residue. Anyone with a knife would get sniffed out for oils.
Also, if they are not sworn LE then they have no power to demand to see your LTC nor do you have to produce it, and you do not have to answer any of their questions.I think you missed the part where the mall cops are not sworn police officers. After confirming that with a direct question, the some leverage they have over you is ordering you to leave
It doesn't matter whether you have gsr, gun oils, bad cologne or twin 1911's swinging on your belt. They can't escort you to your car, they can order you to leave. DO that if they tell you to leave.
Imagine the level of authority that a random stranger passing you on the sidewalk has over you. He can't stop you. He can't demand your papers. He can't arrest you. Etc. That is the level of authority the mall staff has over you. EXCEPT they have the right to demand that you leave
No. That's what I'm saying
So the dog will alert on anyone who has worked on their car or their lawnmower that day?
Baloney.
And you know this how, exactly? No. That's what I'm saying
That they are trained on powder residue? And you know this how, exactly?
Yes. What proof do you have of that? Or that they are trained on oils? And what oils, in particular? That they are trained on powder residue?
Oh. I just asked my trainer. He was a k9 handler for 20 years. He said it's powder residue. I never said oils. Re-read what I saidYes. What proof do you have of that? Or that they are trained on oils? And what oils, in particular?
It is well established that the mere carrying of a gun, absent other indicators, does not create reasonable suspicion of criminal activity (Commonwealth v. Couture). Just remember the magic words "Am I free to go or am I your prisoner?". "I do not agree to remain here voluntarily" is another good line to use.Ok, so after you decline to ID and answer any questions what if they don't ask you to leave, what if they tell you to wait for LEO? Does their suspicion you have a firearm give them cause to attempt to detain you?
Oh really?Oh. I just asked my trainer. He was a k9 handler for 20 years. He said it's powder residue. I never said oils. Re-read what I said
Feisty today
Try again. They are absolutely trained on powder residue. Anyone with a knife would get sniffed out for oils.
You're misreading.Oh really?
Try again.
Someone else said "oils" in post #40. There may be some mis-attribution.You're misreading.
I was pointing out that anyone with a knife or as you said has worked on thier car would get sniffed if it were for oils. And as I said in the sentence before it that they are trained on residue. Your lack of comprehension and then aggressive replies are kinda rude
Oh gotchaSomeone else said "oils" in post #40. There may be some mis-attribution.

Must be my new avatar. I hate me tooDrGD was interpreted as supporting the oil sniffing dog claim. He was calling BS on it too.
Exactly.Verfassungsmäßige Freiheiten sind im Einkaufszentrum Natick verboten. Ihr Recht auf unangemessene Durchsuchung und Beschlagnahme und die zweite Änderung sind bedeutungslos.

Nope but I did get drunk 16 years ago and became an ordained minister online. Remember you are talking to a man of the clothI just now realized that you didn’t go to med school. Funny/Sad that I’ve been reading your name as Dr Grant Doherty all this time. I think the beauty in your avatar drew my gaze over there for longer than usual.
