My very first AR Build w/ Essential Arms J-15 Lower

It was finally time for a real rifle in the safe and thanks to another forum member putting this lower up for sale I have a new build.

As it is my First AR I wanted to build it decent but not over the top.

Lower:
Essential Arm J-15 Pre-Ban
BCM Trigger
BCM Stock & Buffer
OKAY Industries 10rd Magazines

Upper:
Aero Precision M4E1 (16")
Spikes Tactical HPT/MPI BCG
Seekins Precision DNA CH

Optics:
EOTECH HWS 518 Holographic Sight
EOTECH G33 3x Magnifier
(Flip-up sights needed)

Looks great - I really want to build an AR but am not sure what all the legal implications/restrictions are in MA. I know that the lower needs to be pre-ban. Anything else?

You can go with a preban lower or a fixed mag lower and build it however you like.
Or go with a new lower and build it within the laws of the MA AWB and tell Maura to stuff it.

I don’t know how massive a melon you have but you may want to line up the optic placement to be right over the charging handle.
I have a watermelon so I need to push mine as far forward as you have, just about.
