My Space

Sweet.

And I see that you like Clive Cussler. Man, I think that he's my fav. I even have some signed books by him.

What do you think about Dirk's son taking the place of Dirk. And as much as I like his books. It does seem that With Pitt jr and Austin, they all have these Giordino type playing with them.

And what do you think about the Kurt Austin series?

The only thing that I haven't read are the ones about that one ship. That's the only serise that I haven't gotten into with him yet.

One warning though

Just a word of warning for those with young kids.

My friend's 11 year old daughter set up a page and posted that she was 18, and then she got my 10 year daughter signed up and put her in as 19. (Note: you have check off that you are at least 18 to have a page there.) And the friend's myspace page was just "a bit too adult-like" for comfort. Her parents were furious. At least my daughter's page was only 2 days old when I found out and deleted it.
If you want to see what some of the younger people are saying, take a look at some of the "so called 18 year old" pages. I would guess that 1/2 are under 18, just by the music they say they like, etc.

Yes, a great place for adults, but be very, very careful if you have kids.
It was my daughter's first "mistake" in her responsible use of the internet. But, she now knows a good lesson. And, I will be watching her IM much more closely too. And, yes, the PC is in the middle of the family room, so we can monitor her. (BTW- her myspace page was made while at this friend's home.)

So, again, MySpace may be great, but only for adults.....

To be honest C, I've only read one with Kurt - not bad, but I'm adjusting to the loss of Dirk. :D I haven't been book buying much of late, due to lack of funds, but hopefully I'll catch up soon. I usually go through a book in two days (I'm a fast and voracious reader) so trying to keep unread ones in the library is kinda tough.

As the son of a librarian, I have to say: Check out your public library! Odds are they will have what you're looking for. When I was out of work, when I wasn't job-hunting, I was plowing through Marlboro Public and Hudson Public's science fiction collections.

[shock] I never even thought of the library..... [oops] thanks hun!

If you're looking for authors like Barry Sadler and Don Pendleton, you're probably out of luck, but Clive Cussler?

As the commercial used to say: "It's the latest, it's the greatest, it's the liiiibraaaaryyyy!
