Does DW still make 44s? Could only find .357 on thier site.

No they stop making the 44s in the early 2000s I believe maybe late 90s. You’ll just have to scour gun broker and other sites.

Long range Dan Wesson hand cannon part 2! This is my 715 357 mag revolver not the 44 mag revolver from the original post. Thought I'd keep my DW revolver stuff to this thread.

I bought a brand new 8" 357 barrel assembly and sent it to Bob at DW (last Friday) for drill n tap and install scope mount. Talk about speedy turnaround time!

Apparently he didn’t like the engraving so he tweaked it a bit - see note in photo.

The newer style shroud isn’t a 100% match with the frame but good enough for my needs. This is a shooter not a collector piece.

Next thing to do is cerakote the scope mount in a stainless finish to match the rest of the gun.

This thing is a damn laser beam. I was almost rapid firing at my 8" steel at 120 yards and could not miss. Way more pleasant to shoot than my 44 mag

It is! I didn't feel like making a separate thread so I figured I'd add to this one. The OP is my 44 mag.
