BCM Cerro Forge upper
BCM bcg
CMMG 14.5 barrel 1x7 mid length
Midwest Industries FF 9 inch rail one piece
Midwest Industries Upper height gas block.

Probably should have gone with a rifle length rail or even a 10'' with a low profile block [thinking]..I think it'll look better once I get my low plane folding sights and muzzle brake pin and welded. Its just that gap between the rail looks boo boo. Thoughts?

Something doesn't seem right with your build.
That gas block should not be spaced that far away. If you are using a carbine hand gard on a carbine gas system If it is a mid gas system you really need a longer forend.

Because I'm not using the traditional A2 front sight with hand guard cap there is a gap. If I were to use a hand guard cap because they fit around the .750 gas profile then it would change the perfect alignment of the gas holes between my block and barrel.

Look even here they have a gap..

Finally got my iron sights and muzzle brake...also got a hand guard cap to hide the gas tube a little better. Now off to Remsport to be pin and welded!
