An old timer I know was a mechanic and melted wheel weights and battery terminals to make his own round ball for his.

Interesting. How do I know what to buy, and where to buy it? Anybody do classes in this, or want to take a newbie to the range this weekend? Maybe a group trip?

I use the fiber wads in my .50 percussion rifle over the black powder charge. I have never tried them in a modern inline. The sabot fills that function in a modern inline.

I saw your other thread and just realized you have a modern inline.

As an aside, MassWildlife does run a muzzleloader course.
