this is getting TOTALLY ridiculous!

A guy that Ed works with brought in a newspaper clipping to show Ed today. It might have been from the Manchester, NH paper, but Ed didn't know.

It seems that at the Giant's stadium, two men were caught in an area that the public is not allowed in. They told security that they were looking for a place to pray.

So, the owners of said stadium have released a statement that they will provide a room for Muslims to pray in, should they be there for a game and at prayer time.

[shock] ....I need to take an asprin....or 5....

Funny... When I want to go to church to pray, I don't do anything during the same time that mass is going on that would prevent me from doing so...

OK- I go in two directions on this one-

1) It's very nice to accomodate different needs. I can see the need for a quiet room to be shared by anyone who needs it. Nursing mothers, muslims who need to pray, bored companions etc. I think it's a good idea to have a designated room for people to retire to if needed.

2) What are they crazy? Giants stadium is packed full of people. What better time or place to kill off a few thousand Americans than at a football game? Suuuuure these guys were "looking for a place to pray" in an off-limits area. [roll]

I'd just like to know how much background check these kids went through, if any, or if the stadium workers just let them go because of fear of lawsuits in this PC crazy society... [evil]

You got that right. Not to mention that they wouldn't want to suffer the damage to the stadium that the liquor store owners in W. Oakland faced in the name of Islam.
We live in an age of fear and appeasement.

Well, seeing how the Giants played against Seattle last Sunday, maybe they did need a place to pray.

[/sarcasm mode off]

This does not pass the "straight-face" test.
