Anyone here buy one? How do you like it? If you bought the 4th Generation, have you tried using AUG magazines? Have you had any look finding preban AUG magazines? Even if you were stuck using 10 round magazines it is a pretty cool rifle and when I saw one a at First Defense Firearms, I could not believe how compact it was and how well it was balanced. Thoughts gentlemen.

They changed the design on the 4th generation models, so they would except AUG magazines without modification. I looked at getting an AXR, but I am left handed and it is almost impossible to get a left handed model. Were the MSAR you can just change the bolt. Using AR magazine would be optimal.

In that case, then there's the issue of magazine availability, for me at least, I like to have at least a half dozen standard capacity mags for each rifle. Pre-ban AUG mags are hard to find and when you do find them, they aren't cheap, typically $40-$60 range depending on condition.

I found three pre-ban AUG mags on gunbroker, but who knows if the seller will sell to a ban state.
AUG HB/LMG 42rd mags, $55 each, two available...

Standard 30rder, 1 bid, $25, reserve not met...

ETA, maybe those 42rders aren't pre-ban "brand new"/"factory new".

I saw those as well. There are are lot of new AUG magazines out there and AUG does not put date codes on there magazines, that I have seen anyway. Might be hard to tell old from new.
