First time poster, long time reader.
I've read most of the stickies here and I'm a little confused still.
I'm moving from CT into MA. I'm not worried about my guns, just their mags.

I can't take ANY mag over 10 round with me? (all my mags are new than 1994)
Even if I get a Class A? Is it the same for handguns and rifles?

Thanks for your help, and glad to be part of the forum!

It's hard to believe that someone's moving here. Haven't you heard ? Were all trying to get out.
In any case, welcome to the forum. And good luck with your move.

Just SAY NO!!!!!!! Don't do it!!! There isn't anyplace in Ma that can't be reached with a reasonable commute from any contigious state.

Mistake #1.

That's correct. Start stocking up on 10-rounders.

Oh, and you might want to think about buying any non-MA compliant handgun you might want in the future NOW... 'cause you sure as shooting are going to have a very hard time finding them later. Or if you do find them, you'll pay through the nose for handguns like North American Arms Minis, Glocks newer than second gen, Springfields, Colts, EAA, Kahr, H&K, Charter Arms, Taurus, Dan Wesson, Bond, Kel-Tec, Desert Eagle & Rohrborg. (I may have missed some, but you get the idea...) You can resell guns like that for a nice price in MA, too.

And pre-ban large capacity magazines (manufactured prior to 9/14/1994). Pre-ban large capacity magazines are legal in MA, provided you have the appropriate LTC.

Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, etc.

My conscious made me stop in Enfield, CT..I just could not cross the border..and now my Girl is escaping mass and coming to CT..and can carry a gun now (She is from Springfield, they said no way, no how to Class A ALP)..I am sure it is common knowledge but Springfield does not seem very friendly to gun owners

Wow, wish I didn't have to move to MA.
Next question you raised.
What guns can you purchase in MA? Is that the list thing I was reading about?

Go and read this, grasshopper: http://www.northeastshooters.com/vb...p/37553-MA-Handgun-Compliance-Q-A-Thread-(new) and then return. You will be wiser, and if you're REALLY wise, will change your mind about moving to this socialist hell-hole.

There is no true list. Or, rather, there's one list that is necessary but not sufficient, and then there's the AG who doesn't have a list, but turns down things she doesn't like.

While it may be difficult for advocates of non-intrusive gov't to live in Massachusetts, the more who are here, the better. Nanny state politics aside, this can be a great place to live, and a greater number of gun owners united against our opressive laws is a good thing. Do some research and move to a green town, join GOAL and bring your friends to the range. Mass exodus (excuse the pun) will only make things worse for those who stay behind.

how do I find a "green" town?

So I'm on my 10-round mag search.
Why do some websites say they can't ship 10-round glock mags to MA?

Because they our laws are so stupidly complicated and the AG so threatening that either they don't understand our laws, or figure it isn't worth the money to figure them out.

I did read this post just mist the roster links, thanks!
Is there a rifle list too?? PLEASE SAY "NO"
I can't take any more of this.
No, no rifle list. Long as the rifle doesn't violate the "Assault Weapon" Ban. You know... can't have eeeevil features. Collapsible stock, bayonet lug, flash hider. Read here for more.

'Cause they don't bother to learn the laws and they're afraid of a consent decree enema from our A$$hole General, Martha Chokely.

Towns can be green today and red tomorrow. That's a very small part of the problem. Don't do it. Don't put down roots here. Drive through MA and go to NH.

You're right, but licensing in a green town today means that you have 6 years before you have to worry about renewal, and even after a COP change, many, if not most strict towns still renew existing ALPs. Don't get me wrong, Mass laws are awful, but avoiding and/or ignoring an unconstitutional law perpepuates the problem. We need angry, vocal Second Ammendment advocates in this state. Otherwise, Massachusetts continues the tyranny and sets the bar for other blue states.

Thank you so much!

But here's a question, when I apply, If they won't give a class A will they just give me class b, or do I have to RE-apply for it again?

Very few municipalities issue LTC-Bs. More likely, they would issue a restricted LTC-A.
