Mother of dead robber says it’s unfair her son was shot 5 times while robbing a family at dinner

Holy shit, deja vu, twice.

NES Thread: The Parents Of This Dead Robber Are Really Mad His Victim Had A Gun

The parents of a dead armed robber are very angry over his death, and are demanding to know why his innocent victim was allowed to be armed.
It’s been a difficult week for parents Temia Hairston and Michael Grace Sr. Their son, Michael Grace Jr., was shot and killed during an attempted robbery early Sunday morning.
Police said Grace Jr. and two other people tried to rob a Pizza Hut in the 3200 block of Freedom Drive. During the incident, an employee fired his own handgun and killed Grace Jr.
Hairston said she learned of her son’s death on social media, and only got confirmation from police after contacting them first. The grieving mother said she has been left with dozens of questions about the situation that have thus far gone unanswered.
“If there was to be a death, it was not the place of the employee at Pizza Hut. That is the place of law enforcement,” said Hairston

NES Thread: I am SO ANGRY AT THIS!

Reading police have released the names of the two masked men shot to death after allegedly robbing a store Monday afternoon.
Family members of the two masked men shot to death after allegedly robbing a store in Reading spoke out Tuesday.
"It's not fair," said Virginia Medina, mother of 24-year-old William Medina, who police said robbed Krick's Korner store alongside 18-year-old Robert De Carr.
The two men were shot and killed by a private citizen while leaving the store, and family members want to see charges pressed.
"[William] had no right to lose his life over something that man could have called the police for," said Medina. "He took the law into his own hands and walked away scot-free."

That article didn't mention that the gunman turned the gun on two of the concealed carry holders children leaving the bathroom, which is why he drew his gun and fired.

Sorry lady, your kid was not only robbing people but holding a gun on them and apparently threatening to kill them. It's a shame but he brought it on himself.

Grieving Mother, I would cut her some slack. Heck Even Chief Brody got slapped once.

Dude walks in with a gun drawn, you can stop right there...

She should have used non lethal force first. Start with a warning to please leave the premises and then threaten to go get your pepper spray. If still not compliant go get your taser out and threaten, then tase if absolutely necessary. If yet still not compliant call police and if they don't arrive in a timely manner say 10-20 minutes then and only then should she have resorted to using a firearm to defend her family.

It's okay. He's now a "victim of gun violence". Moms Demand will honor him.

I understand she's a grieving mother, and her son was apparently a schizophrenic. But you point a gun at someone, there's no time to figure out if it's loaded or if it's a toy - it's a THREAT and the person it's pointed at has the right of self-preservation - they can take every means necessary to STOP THE THREAT. If that's a single bullet, 10, a napkin holder or a sledge hammer - it doesn't matter. Whatever it takes to stop the threat. Doesn't matter if they're a cop, a waitress, a customer, a busboy or tinkerbell. They're the threatened party and they're the ones who are allowed to stop the threat.

As for mom - go bury your son and grieve. If you want to blame someone, blame your son for not taking his meds. Blame your son for picking up a gun and pointing it at other people. Live by the gun - die by the gun.
