So both of my mossberg shotguns are at their factory for repairs and I have been told that the one that has already been there for two months "they have no idea when they will be able to have it repaired". Both guns 200 rounds and failure, then they talk to you like how dare you ask when things are gonna be fixed.

The silver reserve II had a bunch of problems and the 500 had problems with the hammer spring retainer pin that keeps falling out causing light a light strike and miss fire.

i'm guessing the person answering the phone doesn't work in repair. like most factory repairs, your gun goes into a queue in the order it was received. they get to it when they get to it. some of these companies only have one or two people working on returns. glock was pretty much the same way and they gave no indication when my pistol would be ready. but, before i sent it in to them they said minimum of 8-12 weeks.

All the 500's I've owned have worked flawlessly. Kinda funny that their CU apparently sucks. A bit off topic, but that gawdawfull company that everyone hates: Taurus, has given me the best service on a warrantee I've ever experienced. They had my PT92 for all of about a week. I could go online and check the status, they posted the whole process and location of the gun within the plant daily. Was shipped back with a letter explaining what was repaired (replaced barrel due to poor accuracy), and included a test target.

i should have mentioned my glock wasn't broken, i sent it in for them to go over it and replace any worn parts under warranty. i guess when you got a gerbillionmillion out in the field, a few come in for service. [wink]

Weird. My 500 has been flawless and although I have no personal experience with Mossberg's customer service, it can't be worse than Remington's.
