I came into a stash of pumpkins; the Boys and Girls Club my son goes to after school had a small crate last week. I snagged eight cantaloupe sized; enough for four range trips.
At son's request he upgraded one size from .380 to 9mm. He used my P38 and I used my Victory revolver. Ammo was WWB, FMJ/RN, 115gr for the 9mm and 130gr for the .38. Damage is not as spectacular as the self defense rounds. He's still working on hitting his target at 10 feet. Pumpkins were basically gutted, but intact. I finished off his pumpkin (his was the one that flipped upside down). Looks like we've found a niche; he actually enjoys shooting pistol. I hope the interest will continue when we run out of pumpkins.
