Meh....force is a relative statement and what is force to one might be fine for another
Hitting a kid so hard that he’s knocked into a coma is akin to being slapped around? Wow just wow.
Stop it dude, just f***ing stop the BS. Put the cuffs on her and write it up.
Said while simultaneously defending a cop who threw a girl to the ground for a...previous incident. The irony is palpable.
The chip on your shoulder is of such magnitude that it is unimaginably impressive that you can even stand up, under the weight of it.
Don't get me wrong, I don't grieve for the suspect. He made his choices. However I think you have to recognize the officer's history involves various incidents of demonstrating bad judgement and while true the latest incident is under investigation, this latest will likely be the capstone to end his career.
It is pretty bad that a commanding officer recommends termination. That's when you know he is truly a bad apple.
Agreed. At a minimum Starks getting a ten day suspension is a good sign the fight he was involved in, didn't involve an exchange of words, or a push, or a shove. More than likely he did something really, really stupid to put himself and the department in the limelight.
Or the commander is one
You’re just a cop hater.
I just learned under LRPD policy, police officers are obligated to get out of the way of moving vehicles. They cannot put themselves in a vehicle’s path, fire and then claim that the driver was using the vehicle as a weapon.
But, but, but did you see the very clear video of the car brushing, striking, hitting, slamming the officer.
Here's the two page report on Officer Charles Starks by his Lt. Johnny Gilbert for two separate incidents that got him suspended for 25 days. The first involving the fight at the Rave movie theater and the second involving a ring which (ahem) disappeared...
Don't ask me...
Troll level 1000
Not sure if you and I watched the same video, but I saw him get run over, get up and climb on the hood. All the while the suspect barreled down the road at 75MPH
Commanders are not cops
Same here!! Well except it was 80 MPH
Deputies accused of tampering with evidence
Both deputies had several other complaints as well, both being sued, etc. One of them conveniently dropped retirement papers to avoid investigation. How nice.
It’s a start.
You mean like any incidental contact or barely brushing someone becomes "assault with a deadly weapon" when the "victim" is a cop?
Assault is well defined and it does mean it has to result in a certain amount of injury. But you knoew that
Tricia is a Karen, and would like to speak to the manager.
Did you, all those times you claimed the LRPD officer was a victim of assault with a deadly weapon?
Woodsy you are a truely unifying force, you put me, Jason Flare, and Nick Fury on the same side of an issue. My feet are getting cold.
But what about this:
Retirement should be denied, no pension. Give him back the money he put in and nothing more.
It was assault with a deadly weapon. What part of that do you dispute?
I would recommend wool socks, preferably smart wool. They will keep your feet warm
