She was in a cell and under control, non-combative and not trying to harm herself. The male officer was clearly verbally escalating and not trying to resolve a situation. He was picking a fight in front of his groupies. From that point on the entire situation is wrong and assault.
Sarcasm meter failure. Please try again...

Good to see all the boys out there in detail today. Must have been 20-25 on my ride through mass. Earning some extra bucks for the Christmas season
Doing what, guarding pot holes? A job that can also be done by an orange cone? Up here we hire non cops for that work, and our roads are great. The cops can be put to better use.

Let’s just illegally enter someone’s home and then tase him while he’s holding his child. Totally reasonable and definitely legal. There are no other ways to handle situations than immediately resorting to violence in a situation that wasn’t violent before. Nope, nothing at all.

Too much to quote in the article.

WA Post headline: https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/11/06/ivaughn-oakry-tempe-taser-one-year-old-video/
A black man refused to put down his 1-year-old. Then cops Tasered him multiple times.

On the morning of June 15, Tempe police officers arrived at the apartment complex south of Tempe where Oakry and his family lived in response to a domestic violence call. A woman identified as the mother of Oakry’s children had dialed the non-emergency line and later told police Oakry came home intoxicated and pushed her multiple times during an argument, according to an incident report. By the time police got to Oakry’s apartment, the woman had left the home, but she indicated her three children were still inside with their father, the report said.
-snip-

In a Tuesday statement to The Post, Tempe police stressed that Oakry’s young son had not been hurt and defended using nonlethal force against the father.

“Although Oakry was affected by the taser, the child was not injured and there was no evidence of the child being struck with the taser probes,” the statement said. It went on to note that the officers “developed a lawful right to enter the residence,” accusing Oakry of committing endangerment by picking up the toddler in the middle of the confrontation.

While an administrative review found the officers had not violated the use of force policy, they were still subjected to mandatory retraining, officials said.

“The Tempe Police department recognizes that training for every encounter is challenging; however, we will continue to evaluate and improve tactics, communication, and de-escalation techniques to achieve the highest standards,” the statement said.

All of this happened because she wouldn't sign a summons for smoking in some no-smoking area and having a dog off-leash...

BOULDER, Colo. -- The Boulder County sheriff and five deputies are named in an excessive force lawsuit after an inmate was tasered even though she was already in a restraint chair with her hands strapped behind her back and her head covered with a spit hood.

Lauren Gotthelf filed the federal lawsuit Tuesday morning for an incident that occurred Nov. 25, 2017.
The 34-year-old was ticketed by a Boulder police officer for smoking on the Pearl Street Mall and allowing her service dog to be off-leash. When Gotthelf refused to sign the summons, she was taken to the Boulder County Jail.

Boulder County - comes down to they said she said - if she made any kind of threat against herself, they have to take it seriously. Especially after Epstein killed himself.

The using a 1 year old as shield guy - With Woodsy on this. Police were there because they got a call. Assuming the SO told the truth, that guy was coming out of the house and going to jail for assault and battery. He chose the hard way.

You know one thing I've loved about being in Spokane?

Not the bad food, or the cheap beer.

Not the meth heads and nazi graffiti everywhere. No...

No cops at road details, because it's a waste of police resources. Road work has their own flaggers.

And they sell booze at the liquor store don't mean you can chug it in the parking lot! s/
While true in most places, they don't sell you a pint of beer in a red solo cup, which is what would be equivalent to what most bart stations do, sell quick serve food product in non-sealed packaging for immediate consumption.

The kicker here is that no one yet seems to be questioning the fact that they elected the same dem tyrants that passed these dumb laws in the first place......big gov at its finest

There's a very specific reason no one is questioning that, particularly involves the definition of "no one."

POC are, Chets, Jasons, Karens, and Jennys are not.
