So screwed until the union runs to his rescue.

"Put a hole in your head"? Not until I put a hole in your career first. [smile]

I'm not a cop basher but this guy was an off duty douche who deserves whatever is handed down to him.

I've had the EXACT same thing happen to me by a transit cop who was driving the wrong way through a parking lot and tried to cut me off. I have a feeling this is not an unusual experience to have unmarked hotheads pull this crap.

Nice time of the year for a vacation. A week or two on the Cape, wait until this has all blown over, and he'll be back on the job like nothing ever happened. The best I can hope for is that the chief will have a chat with him and tell him to stop being a moron. But I'm not holding my breath.

If a cop in the first circuit tells you to "shut off your camera" isn't that a violation of Glik and Gericke? Therefore, even though the officer didn't physically try and stop you, he gave you an "order" to stop and thus is liable under both those cases?

If so, that person should be suing the officer personally and the department.

I've seen that guy around Medford plenty of times. He's a complete douche and is always ****ing with someone.
Here's hoping someone follows through on the same threats he made to that poor kid.

Was the cop overboard? Perhaps, but language like that is kind of par for the course in Mefa. Boo hoo if the wrong way drivers feeling are hurt.

Were any rights violated?

If a private citizen threatened to shoot someone in the head, they would end up in handcuffs.

Were you watching the same video where the public servant in the unmarked car, out of uniform, and likely high/drunk threatened to shoot a citizen for a traffic infraction? Because that's the one we're talking about.

did you see the same video I did? you know, the one where he said he'd put a hole in his head? Did you REALLY have to ask this question?
