See attached. This is factorization. In case my penmanship sucks I will try to write these out here. Note that ^ = to the power of.

    1. 81x^4-165^4
    2. a^3-125b^3

    Thanks in advance!

Slightly confusing problems combining factorization with order of operations but I think this is what they want:

    81 is 3 to the 4th power so (1) factors to: (3x)^4 - 165^4

    and 125 is 5 to the 3rd power so (2) factors to: a^3 - (5b)^3

Thanks! I am generally good at factorization but these ones threw me off.

It's not really algebra as those statements are not equations. You just need to recognize that

81x^4 is the same as 3^4.x^4

which is the same as (3x)^4

our Math Ninjas will be doing these in a couple days...

    (a^2 - b^2) = (a+b)(a-b) so, (81x^4 - 165^4) = (9x^2 + 165^2)(9x^2 - 165^2)

    "Difference of two cubes" (x^3 - y^3) = (x-y)(x^2 +xy + y^2)
    so it's (a-5b)(a^2 + 5ab + 25b^2)

    ps"sum of two cubes" (x^3 + y^3) = (x-y)(x^2 -xy + y^2)

now get the teacher to calculate MOA's ;)

That is not a practical real life math question. May I suggest adding fractions instead? Something with different denominators is a little more challenging if you are up to it .

These make no sense.. they are not equations.. what exactly are you trying to answer?

Simple. Just apply "common core" and you'll have the answer in 35 days...

    I can't understand why.

It's simple to take address if you're in the woods and can't immediately get to a hospital. All you need is two branches and a rope or something similar to wrap it up...
